Can someone/anyone tell me what is about Wentz that he can't stay on a team? He actually seems like a nice kid that's truly trying. Is it his character, bad teammate, or hot head????? I have heard he doesn't take coaching or criticism well. I'm actually starting to feel bad for the kid.
It's definitely a red flag that the Colts released him. Frank Reich was the coach and he was Philly's OC when they won the SB. The fact that he has ties with Reich and they only had him for a year and choose to move on to a washed up Matt Ryan says a lot.

He's only 30. If we sign him quick, we still have a chance of winning the next 14 Super Bowls.

He has a ton of arm talent, but he stares down his receivers and can't go thru his progressions and he holds the ball way too long. I still have to believe the right coach can do something for him.. PS. RG 3 was the exact same way and you saw how his career crashed and burned.
Very much similar to the one we have , without even that arm ?

What does it say that the move did not work out well for the Colts and they were much worse without him (and he had a pretty good season in 2021)? Is that a green/white flag?

Rumor was that in Philthy, his teammates hated the guy. I suspect that there was a lot of truth in that rumor and his teammates from Indy and Washington hated the guy also.

IMO, Wentz's problems are mental, and they are too deep at this point. He doesn't listen to coaches and doesn't want to take accountability. And if there was a come to Jesus moment for him, he probably would have reached it by now.

I wouldn't be surprised if he retires soon. No one will bring him into start and he doesn't seem like the type of guy who'd be happy as a backup. And like another poster said, he has $100M in career earnings. Even if he only took home half of that after taxes, etc, he is set.
