It's the going rate for QBs in the nfl. All starters are overpaid then.
Yes but they still don't play to their contract. But really only Mahomes the only one worth his contract and Brady (outside of this past season). Dak has a sufficient roster especially this past season and he still can't get to the NFCCG.

Wow, he can't stay on a team for more than a season anymore. Hope he likes Canada. Perhaps he should pull a Doug Flutie and play a few seasons in the CFL.

He has a ton of arm talent, but he stares down his receivers and can't go thru his progressions and he holds the ball way too long. I still have to believe the right coach can do something for him.. PS. RG 3 was the exact same way and you saw how his career crashed and burned.
Well, and that's where either taking a backup role or playing a few seasons in the CFL would help. Sometimes, playing in a league like the CFL can help a player refocus and figure out things like that.

all we been hearing the last 7 years is how great Wentz CAN BE and the guys like Colin Cowturd been banging the drum undyingly for him. EVEN RIGHT NOW! I never will understand the strange flirtations the media has with Wentz, despite what the facts say he is.Yet Dak is "trash"...its just weird.

Maybe now that Wentz has been mercifully released, we can move on.

LOL….actually, I would be happy to have him as a backup if he’d take 2-3 million, but I’m sure Jerry wants his backup QB making around 250,000 tops.
They'll probably draft a guy but I don't think they'll be comfortable with him being the backup next season. Rush for another year is my guess.

This has been discussed incessantly over the past few months. I don't need to explain anything. Just because you disagree doesn't mean I have to discuss it yet again. He's choked in the playoffs two seasons in a row. He has his good games, he has his bad games. The past few seasons he does well at first and goes downhill from there....with some exceptions, like against TB.

His bad game at the wrong time just happens to happen more than some are willing to admit. It will continue. He panics. He laser focuses on two guys and ignores open guys. He's predictable.

He's a good regular season QB but he is inept against remotely decent defenses. I don't care if he has a great regular season record if he's just going to choke it away when it matters in the playoffs. Mark my words, he will NEVER get us a SB win.
Lol so clueless. What was Philly ranked in defense this yr? Dak put up a what 40 burger on them.

How many great games from dak since 2016 has the defense wet the bad and blown it. As a rookie he outplayed Karen Rodgers in the playoffs and the defense alot with help from the refs sh the bed.

As David Carr has pointed out which people like you will never even acknowledge because you hate dak. And that is, it's hard to run a timing based offense that Dallas runs when the playcalling handicaps you. He gave you a perfect example by drawing a line at the first down marker and showed you why it's so hard for this team to do what should b3 easy for them. And that was flawed play design. The entire defense was basically playing inside the first down marker.

Which basically says teams aren't scared of your playcalling. Or they know your tendencies. This is what's waiting for SD. So you ask how is Dallas the #1 offense since dak returned. The disrespect the scheme on offense got allowed players like Pollard, ceedee, Schultz, ty to beat their coverage and when they did there is usually nobody there to stop them. That's not sustainable in the playoffs. Ever try to wonder why the Jones' were OK letting go one of their own boys in Kellen when they just dont do that, look at JG.

I don't hate Dak. I supported him and defended him up until his last loss against SF. Off the field, I think he's a great guy. I just don't think he has what it takes to get the team a championship. 7 seasons and he's still making the same mistakes and still failing to read defenses fast enough. Moore was a huge problem, but Dallas had that game won even with the terrible playcalling if Dak had played any better. It's that simple.

Do not mistake my lack of faith in Dak for hate. I was a supporter of his since day one. I'm just done with the excuses.

Can someone/anyone tell me what is about Wentz that he can't stay on a team? He actually seems like a nice kid that's truly trying. Is it his character, bad teammate, or hot head????? I have heard he doesn't take coaching or criticism well. I'm actually starting to feel bad for the kid.
I think financially, the kid is probably in a better position that most of us.

I never want to see a player hurt, and it seems after his injury where he had a MVP year, he really hasn't produced. From what I've read, seems to be night and vs Mayfield in the locker room trying to support the team with 2 QB's that haven't had the projection they had when first playing.

Based on what’s been reported he doesn’t seem like a good kid. Colts owner hated him not sure about in Washington…He’s 30 now and doesn’t mentally seem to be able to handle the NFL. Prime example of having all the tools but not between the ears.

That being said someone will give him another chance. Geno found a coach who could resurrect him….maybe the same can happen for Wentz.
