Carson Wentz released

Can someone/anyone tell me what is about Wentz that he can't stay on a team? He actually seems like a nice kid that's truly trying. Is it his character, bad teammate, or hot head????? I have heard he doesn't take coaching or criticism well. I'm actually starting to feel bad for the kid.
I heard he has an ego. Someone said when he was with egirls he had his certain people he hung around and did not talk to the rest of the team.

Apparently he’s a cancer and the “nice kid” is not he real story. Nobody apparently gets along with him.

Let’s be honest, there was really no fall from grace he. He was vastly over-rated from the get go. When I saw him pre-injury, I didn’t understand why folks kept talking about him.
He was way over-valued also because the 2015 draft class was weak for QBs and many of the previous QBs that were drafted high never panned out and were also over-valued like Winston and Mariotta. Winston INTs were always a question and Mariotta never called plays in a huddle. So that’s basically the background of Wentz and the “love affair”.

People were impressed by his physical traits, like height and arm, but he was a player in 1-AA and his stats were never really impressive and it’s almost akin to he must be good “because he looks the part”. He didn’t even play much in the grand scheme of things, as outside his Junior Year he never started even close to a full season.

Before his injury though, he was LIGHTS OUT in the red-zone, which is a positive for a young qB and this was without the OL and RG that Dak had at that point and the defense was built on stopping Zeke and Dak was basically managing the same.

Wentz has played 55 career games and his numbers in the red zone are insane. In those 55 games, Wentz has thrown 72 touchdown passes and only 2 interceptions. Comparing his numbers to some of the greats in the NFL since 2016, you will see just how impressive Wentz has been. Tom Brady has played 59 games and has thrown 76 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, Drew Breeshas played 57 games and has thrown 81 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, Aaron Rodgershas played 54 games and has 75 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, and Russell Wilson has played 63 games and thrown 83 touchdowns and 4 interceptions

And just for fun, if you still think Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is better than Wentz: Since 2016, Prescott has played 63 games and has thrown 54 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in the red zone, meaning in 8 less games, Wentz has thrown 18 more red zone touchdowns.

I will miss him. He’s a train wreck in the pocket

Second billing to Bobby McClain…nice

He has the physical skills. He just mentally can't handle the game!

He helped lead the Eagles to the playoffs prior to his injury wherein Foles ran them the rest of the way....a ring is a rind and the only one Dak currently has is his doorbell.
What a stupid reply.

Dak's gotten to the playoffs 4 times. Can I start crowing about how great he is if he gets hurt before the playoffs and his backup wins it all?

Although I can't speak for a member here, but I believe the point is Wentz DID contribute to the Eagles success for them winning the Super Bowl, and any way you cut it, as below average as he's been after that SB win, he has a ring and that's still something to be proud of.

Personally I found the doorbell analogy pretty good LOL

Foles' ring actually ruined Wentz's career. LOL! He never recovered from his backup getting the glory. It happened the next year too, Wentz got hurt and Foles won another playoff game.

Wentz has 3 career playoff pass yards. He's a bum.

I wouldn't go as far as calling Wentz a bum.

He's a very rich man money wise, by all accounts was a smart kid in college and he does have a Super Bowl ring.

Wentz did get the starting QB job back the following year, but it goes without saying he didn't produce.

Taking money out of the equation and length of playing career, I think (don't know) that most players would trade playing years for a Super Bowl win. Wentz can at least hang his hat on the reality is Philly most likely would never have gotten there if it weren't for Wentz's playing in 2017.

End of the day, I'm certain Wentz, like Dak, really doesn't care what our opinion is of him on a internet forum.

These guys make so much money that although their ego may be hurt on how they leave, end of the day if they are half smart, they don't need to work a day after they get out of the NFL.

All one has to do is look at Joe Namath to see what one Super Bowl win can do for you (he really wasn't a great QB for the years he played).

Fine, then he's a flat-out bum compared to Dak, who has lapped him several times over by now.

So regular season performance counts for Wintz? Do we want to compare the regular season play between them or Nah your just interested in playing shadow games?

So Dak has gotten to the playoffs 4 years with 6 games and has a 2-4 record in those games, the last 2 games against SF he pretty much single-handedly cost Dallas the games......but you keep celebrating that info.

Seems like Dak is having trouble recovering from Rush going 4-1 seeing as how Dak then proceeded to have a career-high in INT's...overcompensating much????
