All you guys complaining that we didn't have a guy that could help Cassel what makes any of you think we could develop a rookie like a Wentz or Goff?

I think Garrett has to produce or his days or numbered. Don't think he will take a QB at 4 when he wasn't contribute. Garrett will look for guys that will help keep his job.

If Garrett fails and is fired I believe the coach we bring in will then have his choice at QB instead of being forced with a Wentz or Goff that Garrett staff couldn't develop

Exactly. No way on earth this staff will develop a QB to get to where he needs to be. They can't even design a competent scheme on offense. They just rely on Romo to make all the decisions at the line and actually we work best when the original play breaks down. When Romo went down, they had no idea how to design a scheme to fit the backups. Our staff is so incompetent.

Garrett will be here as long as he wants and Jerry will continue making excuses for him. Garrett is Jerry's dream " yes man". He's going nowhere.....

Something didn't seem right, with his time in Dallas. I thought I read, he was looking for coaching when he arrived, and no one would help him.

You can't hang that on Jerry though. He's a busy man.

Until Jerry steps aside and hires a real football guy to run things, it does not matter who coaches here. Jerry can do no wrong in Jerry's eyes. 20 years and counting.....

as long as romo plays they wont go 4-12, they should be 8-8 or better.
and even if they have another bad season, they might just fire other staff like dc or oc etc and keep JG.

What was the contract worth, was it enough to get us at least a 7th round comp pick in 2017.
That was my first thought. It wasn't to dump on Cassell or the team at this point. Though I understand some of the comments.

But remember there were other reasons why any QB was not productive last year.

5th round draft pick down the crapper! And as the OP stated he couldn't find anybody to help him when he got here, that was true. Not that Wilson is worth a crap anyway!

Tell the entire scenario please, instead of making it as the trade was worthless.
We needed a QB, this was the best option.

The trade...for the 2017 draft, we swapped our 5th for the Bills 6th....I do not fault the trade based on that.
What if in 2017, we pick 32nd, and Bills pick 1st. So we swap the last pick in the 5th round for the 1st pick in the 6th....just a possibility.
