This is fake and/or staged and probably has nothing to do with protecting the child. Sometimes cats simply don't want you to touch something because they fear it or they fear you with it, or they consider it theirs.

I am not a fan of cats. Did anyone ever see the videos where animal control has to clear out a feral cat colony??? Wow I love those long poles with the noose at the end! You get those feral cats strung up and they go crazy!! Actually might be a fun corporate team building event to go capture feral cats! I'm telling you you got that long stick, slowly creep towards the cat and bang! Rip that sucker closed and drop that thing into a canvas sack! A lot like spear fishing!
