Cowboys expected return dates

Week 4 - Jeremy Mincey (New Orleans) vs Drew Brees
Week 5 - Rolando McClain, Greg Hardy, Ron Leary (New England) vs Tom Brady
Week 6 - Bye Week
Week 7 - Dez Bryant, Randy Gregory (New York Giants) vs Eli Manning
Week 8 - None (Seattle) vs Russell Wilson
Week 9 - None (Philadelphia) vs Sam Bradford
Week 10 - None (Tampa Bay) vs Jameis Winston

Week 11 - Tony Romo (Miami) vs Ryan Tannehill

Games I would really like for us to win

Though it is important to note that if we can beat New York and Philly we could probably go 3-4 in this time span on still be okay.

If we could beat the Saints, Gmen and Eagles, we would look good at 5 and 5 by the time Tony gets back. I am not conceding the Tampa game-just talking.

I want them to win em all but if there's 3 games I want, it's Seattle, NY and Philly. Seattle will be contending for Wild Card with Arizona on top of division and a head to head win helps us. Beating both NY and PHI puts us at 4-0 in division. When Romo returns we have WSH twice and I feel at worst, we split and we have Carolina who may come in second, vying for thw wild card. Wins against divisional opponents and CAR and SEA will help us get into the dance.

That's why I think it is important for people not get all doom and gloom at this point. I still think this defense is going to come on strong, especially if the offense doesn't get in their way like they did in Atlanta. The defense should run on almost all cylinders for the Giants game and definitely for the Philly game. We should be able to beat Tampa Bay as is. If we could beat New Orleans in addition, we could go 4-2 until Romo gets back and we'd definitely be in first in the division.

Things are looking good for Tony to maybe return earlier then thought- so it is POSSIBLE that we could have him for Philthy. I hope the Boys are very sensible for this and only play him if we are truly desperate. Other then that I agree let him heal fully as long as we are still in the hunt.

We SHOULD beat NO. That team is a shadow of what it was a few years ago. Tampa and NO should be wins. That gives us 4. If we can steal one from the Giants or Birds then we would be in good shape. We will lose to the Hags and Patsy's without Romo unless they both self destruct. So that is three losses there. If we can split with Midgets and Birds then I think we will be in very good shape for the playoffs.

Thought he could t return until Miami because of the IR rules?

I so wish Romo would be there for the Giants game.

It will be cool to see our full pass rush on hand for Brady and Eli though.

I can recall our team kicking NYs butt without Romo a fews back in NY. For sone reason I feel more comfortable playing NY on the road vs our house.

The Dez return date is very optimistic owner-speak. I would not actually count on him being ready for October football. For whatever reason the Jones' are always overly optimistic about player returns, which is why Randy Gregory's Week 1 "not so bad" high ankle sprain that "should be on the lower end" of 2-4 weeks is going to be holding him out until after the bye.

The Gregory situation, I think, changed when Mincey got hurt. I don't think they were planning to play Gregory significant snaps anyway, and then they re-evaluated the situation to consider that Mincey and Hardy would be back soon anyway.

Of course w-l record will have much to do with this, but I wouldn't be surprised if they held Romo back until Thanksgiving so he doesn't have to endure 2 games in 4 days.....
