This would make em howl round here...

4 – LA Rams: Carson Wentz – QB – North Dakota State:

TRADE ALERT: Cowboys bail. Using the ProFootballTalk’s trade value chart, this pick is worth 1,800 points. The LA Rams pick at #15 (1050 points) and at #43 overall (480) and #45 (450). You want in the top 5 for a QB? You overpay a little bit. If you wanna be nice to them, pretend the Cowboys send them a 4th round pick along with #4 overall. The Rams pick their QB of the future.

15 – Dallas Cowboys (via LA Rams): Noah Spence – DE – Eastern Kentucky: The Cowboys haven’t addressed their biggest need, pass rush. Spence can help. He’s the guy in this draft that can win with speed and bend on the outside. Will need to get stronger in the run game, but getting to the passer is priority #1.

So you would get two firsts and two seconds by giving up a second a third and sliding down 11 spots. It is an intriguing thought. Feasibly you could come out of draft with Spence, Lynch, Karl Joseph and either Dixon or Henry. Hmmmmmmm

Probably this same guy.

Broaddus just said on the Cowboys Break that do not be shocked that if certain things happen where the picks they like are taken before we are on the clock and we can not get a good trade down value we like...they might just take Spence at 4.

Said they are really doing their homework on him. Not sure if he is hearing the homework line from the scouts or if he is just speculating.

I would like this trade if the Scouts OK Spence, but I think that is a big if. If he didn't check out and this was the board up to this point I think I would take one of the WRs. Then take a QB, RB and SS in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

The board would go nuts but I think we would be OK at DE if we sign Jones, especially if Gregory plays well after his suspension.

That's good to know. As far as DL goes, he fits what we need the most

see this what I don't get - for the Rams to trade up 11 spots

Rams pick at #15 (1050 points)
and at #43 overall (480)
and #45 (450).
You want in the top 5 for a QB? You overpay a little bit. If you wanna be nice to them, pretend the Cowboys send them a 4th round pick along with #4 overall. The Rams pick their QB of the future.

why would be so hard for the cowboys to trade - with everybody saying that it would take all our draft picks ?

I am not totally opposed to this. Look, if the Cowboys don't see Wentz as a sure fire franchise QB, I have no issue with them trading out of that pick and if the Rams want to give us their two #2s, fine by me. And if there is a scenario where I can get Lynch, who they are rumored to like, then hell yeah.

Many people believe that he, Spence, is the best Pure Pass Rusher in the draft....however he needs work on the other areas and would probably be a liability against the run early on.

If not for his drug past and being kicked off of Ohio State because of it...he would probably be the first DE taken. Even with all of his past luggage he is still being viewed as a top 15 player by some.

I think there are many cowboys fans that have already made their minds up that if Wentz is available and we pass they are going to be angry no matter what.

My initial reaction would be a combination of disbelief, anger and resignation but I would at least wait to see what they did the remaining picks before I completely flipped my lid.

I would be upset as well.

However having three 2nd round picks in this draft would be nice.
