Here is a similar timeline one from Blogging the Boys.

https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/202...rst-week-training-camp-cj-goodwin-cooper-rush

Some big differences.

RB - They have Deuce staying but Cavanaugh thinks only if they need another return man will he stay.
WR - Flournoy stays.
TE - Looks like this Gant kid that was getting a lot of hype is on no one’s short list.
DEF - A lot more depth kept which is probably realistic.
I had Vaughn going to the PS, but I'm wondering if we might not try to put Freeman on the PS instead. What we know is that Freeman was a free agent and no one was that interested in signing him. We do not know what the interest in Vaughn would be if we waived him.

4 DE's including Micah seems very light.
Golston will probably play end some in our base run defense. I do think we're likely to keep one more lineman, though, and it will probably be Fehoko since we drafted him and he's only in his second year. Durell Johnson might be a name to watch, though. I've seen him get a few call-outs at end.

The 53 prediction game is always fun. Worth watching.

The bold names are the players he feels confident have a spot reserved.

Rest are fighting for 53 or Practice Squad depending on how deep team goes at those positions.

I think Harvey will make it over Wilson at LB, but both could since that would only be six. I'm not feeling it with Wright.

With Goodwin kept as a ST ace, that gives us six corners, and I think a UDFA like Butler has actually played better than Wright.

Who is Cooper at WR? Didn't we trade him? I guess he means Cropper.

I'm not seeing us keep just three tight ends, even if we're keeping a fullback. I still expect Hendershot to make the team and wouldn't be surprised if the rookie Spann makes it over either him or Stephens.

I haven't heard much about Stephens this camp. Is he practicing? Any reviews?

Man, this team is 1-2 injuries away from 11-6 being 6-11. I think it will be telling as to if they plan to blow this thing up next year if Jerry spends some draft capital on a d-lineman or not. He almost has to at this point. Maybe they can limp by at RB with an improved O-line, but dang, there's a lot of holes. At least WR, TE, LB, and the secondary look pretty solid. So much of this season will depend on Diggs and Steele returning to form, and quickly. They also need to just stop the posturing and pay Ceedee, they are going to cave anyway, and he needs to be in camp.

Edoga hasn't been that bad when called on to play. He's not great but he's penciled in as a backup for a reason.
He was pretty terrible at T as I recall. Better as G but given the guys who can be our backup G now, seems he could be a progress stopper.

Guess I'm just saying, I'd rather roll with young guys than a guy I don't have much confidence in.

Worst RB group in the NFL.

The two starting tackles are big question marks with little to nothing behind them.

WR group behind Ceedee is awful.

DT group big question mark.

LB should hopefully be improved.

When you have a top flight QB, these aren't problems.

Such a top heavy roster. About 12 good players and the rest is highly questionable.

Also no way they only keep 8 d-linemen.

I have not been following closely but I haven't heard him mentioned positively or negatively. Do you know how he is looking?
Saw something the other day praising him, saying he's looking more like he did before the injury.

Right. The other day, Micah was receiving tons of praise for the amount of pressure he was getting on Dak. Not saying Parsons isn't going to get pressure no matter who's blocking him, but when you watch the videos from the day, he's just destroying Edoga at left tackle.

If Guyton ends up not being ready to start at LT at the beginning of the season, I hope we have a better Plan B than just sticking Edoga out there.

My theory is I think KC signs Vaughn as a FA within 10 seconds. He is beloved by Kansas sports fans and Reid could probably use someone like him.

Possibly. It's hard to predict. There have been players I clearly thought would be grabbed before they made the PS, and they were, and others who weren't. And then some I thought would have no problem making the PS who were nabbed. Some of it really depends with young players on what scouts/teams thought of them during the draft.

Usually with these older vets, teams already know what they can do so the interest they received before camp is going to be similar to what they get if waived. Of course, situations change. If a team loses a player to injury, they might grab a player like Freeman for vet depth. But usually, they are going to go after players cut with untapped potential.

Freeman, Edoga and Goodwin would be my roster chess pieces, players we can get to the PS and call up for a few games before having to decide whether to add them to the roster. That would allow us to keep those younger players for at least a little while longer.

Edoga being safe seems like a tragedy. If we can't make him expendable, either our OL depth isn't as good as we thought or our coaches suck at roster management.
Their depth looks good with Edoga, Beebe, Bass, and Richards and I think that the starters are very good.
