Not my preference, but what are your thoughts in the even the BPA at 19 is a CB?

Say a guy like Ward or Hughes is there at 19 and is clearly better than anyone else on our board?

If we're trying to move on from Scandrick and have a shot at a #1 CB I'd be open to it.

That we'd be incredibly stupid. We have a roster full of CB's, right now, at least 3 of them young and talented. Drafting a CB at 19 would rival Esco and Mo as some of the stupidest draft picks this franchise has ever made.

Sup K! You know I love the DL as much as you do...just trying to create a "what if" scenario here.

You mentioned having 3 young and talented CB's...I'm all in on Chido and Lewis, but not sure how I feel about Brown. He had a decent rookie year but got abused last year.

Yup, he did. However, Lewis and Chido can both play outside. Wouldn't hurt to get a young, quick CB in the mid rounds. But, we'd be ignoring way too many needs taking one in the first.

Id prefer Isaiah Wynn,OG-Georgia in this scenario.
I love Ward and Hughes...I just dont see the need for another CB.
DT,LB,S are the most pressing needs on def.
OG,WR the most on Off.
If Hurst,Vea,James,Edmunds,Ridley are off the board...go OG.

Not my preference, but I’d much rather complain about having too much talent and resources in the secondary than the opposite.

I would hope for a trade down as well but I never trust Jerry in draftday trades (all trades for that matter).

Ward is a great player and Hughes appears to be rising up boards everywhere. Hughes seems like he would check a lot of Will McClay's boxes.

I think there is a good chance Hurst or Vea will be there at 19.
will they pull the trigger on a DT at 19?
We haven't since Russell Maryland.

Almost any position at 19 could be a good pick with a few exceptions
I would not take a RB,or CB because we don’t have needs there
It would be hard to justify a qb unless a top prospect fell which is not likely
I’m all for taking BPA but there are exceptions to any rule

Well, that is a bit extreme, but you are right there are only so many first round grades. We have went so db heavy the past few years. Defensive tackle position is deep this year, I think I would rather reach a bit with in reason. So Scandrick is gone too? We can only put so many dbs on the field. I feel like we have to many resources allocated at that position draft and youth wise. Receiver is supposed to be really good at round 2 too, there are some round 1-2 players I think I would reach on, because the position lacks talent.

This is a deep DT draft, so if we really don't have one w/ a first round grade left, I'd have to seriously question our grading system.
If the pick is a DT...I think it'll be Maurice Hurst,Michigan....he looks like a Cowboy DL.I LOVE Vea..but I just dont think they'll pull the trigger on a 1T...and I think he is goin in top 15-17 picks.
