In light of todays events with Clements signing with SF, I would like state again for the record I am in favor of the Cowboys going CB at pick 22. Regardless of the Henry situation moving or not moving to FS. The only other position I would like us to consider is WR but I don't see any way we can lose by taking a cornerback. The economics of signing a good free agent just doesn't sit well with me at all.

I agree. Taking a CB @ 22 would not be bad at all. A Glenn is old and NJones And JReeves were both givin 7th rd tenders (now that's a ringing endorsement). A very good corner will be there @ 22. 10 CB's ran under 4.4 at the combine this year. I know speed doesn't make a good football player but CB's w/out it don't last long in today's NFL.

If we do not sign an OG or a RT...chances are we might want to look in that direction.

It all depends on who the CB is. Like with any position, you can't take him unless you're sure he's a really good player.

i dont see all the scared posts about the OL and FA. its not teams are beating down colombos door. and realistically dallas will be bidding against 1 team the giants. the skins dont have the cap room.

CB in the 1st or 2nd. [you know how Jerry likes to trade down in the 1st...]

A Glenn probably gone after the June cut downs?

Henry...cant see him being around if a CB is drafted. His salary is high in 07 [3.6 mil?] and his age [30/31] and "slowness" make him a target.

Nobody wants to say it, but the $11 Million already spent on Henry was a waste.

Call it what you will.....but the lack of experience on the OL is something to be concerned about. If that's considered crying then so the heck be it!!!!!!

I'll buy a couple boxes of tissues....one for me and one for you when our OL is inhaling profusely next season. :)

im not saying that dallas shouldnt sign any OL. im making fun of the people who made up a thread and making bets about who would cry about any lack of signings by the boys today. and alot of the people who were taking bets in that thread and pm'n are the ones crying today. i just found that funny

We cannot ignore it any longer.

I remember feeling pretty good about our OL at times last year.

But if we lose Colombo, we will be in dire straights and need practically an entire right side.

That's not something you can fill in a draft and hope to contend.

Agreed.

I think some people do not realize we have 3 total tackles on the active roster right now...two of those three were backups last year and the starting one is getting older and close to the end of his contract.

So not only do we need starters at RT and RG (I am taking it that rivera is gone) we will also need extra depth.

No, he isn't.

As a matter of fact, teams are wondering why he allowed so many catches in front of him this season....he has dominant workout numbers, but he's just an above average CB.

Don't forget that Arkansas led the SEC (and they were among the nation's elite) in rushing the ball. They held the ball, so teams did not have an opportunity to get into their offenses. They also had a pretty good pass rush.

Don't mistake me....I love Arkansas. They're one of my favorite NCAA teams. But Houston is not a shut-down CB.

Yet....

The tools and potential are there....but the bust factor is also there.

With all of the talk about taking care of Tony Romo and doing everything you can to support him, why wouldn't you start with the on-the-field support group?

We will have an OL possibly minus two starters from this past season.......maybe Colombo, Rivera, and the already needed G.

That's scary....anyway you want to look at it.
