CB Bailey re-signed by Broncos to 4 year deal... Patrick Peterson may fall now?

this is the kind of fantasy stuff that really gets me

that "only a 3rd rounder" this year could be D. Williams of NC who is a true FS and could start as our FS at the start of the season.

our first rounder could be a starting OT (sherrod, smith, carimi) or could be 2 OL if we can trade down to teens and get a 2 or 3.

so, you are willing to take PP over:

at a minumum starting OT + FS
possibly: 2 starting caliber OL and FS

PP is good, he is not that good.

You're getting on him for fantasy but you're doing the exact same thing. All of these guys could bums. All of them. Including Peterson. But Peterson is the most likely to succeed. What happens if both the starting free safety and offensive line we draft in the 1st and 3rd round suck and Peterson ends up being a perennial Pro Bowler?

But we aren't doing that..as a 5-technique, he isn't going to be anything special..Cam Jordan is a better 3-4 DE than Dareus..

Or that 3rd rounder could be a Robert Brewster or a James Marten. The Cowboys have been horrible at picks in the 3rd round. Dallas hasn't made a good 3rd round selection in EIGHT YEARS.

i think that this team has too many needs to be wasting multiple high draft picks on one player, esp if that player is CB who many 'experts' feel is actually going to be a FS.

I'm in the same boat as you man..I am not down with trading a 1st and 2nd or even 3rd for Peterson..

This team has plenty of flash..we need more guys to do the dirty work..smart, hardworking, team oriented players..preferably, in the trenches

nah, I still think the Broncos take him and if not I still dont see him getting to 6 with out someone trading up for him. If he gets to 5 I sure hope Jerry considers it but before that the price will just be too much.

It could happen if he fell to them. It would be a straight up BPA thing.

But recall that they're switching to a 4-3 so there's plenty of needs in front fo the secondary.
