That’s looking like a worst case scenario (that’s not really that bad) top 9 where we have to go BPA and take Slater. Or cross our fingers that someone calls to trade up for 1 of Slater, Mac Jones, or Devonta Smith.

My wife had this surgery twice in 12 months on the same disc at 30. Super easy surgery itself but there is no way to know if it's a more serious issue of a disc delaminating. Much like a vinyl record the disc is simply compressed layers. My wife ended up having to have her back fused 4 months after her second surgery. Her disk had started delaminating the top and bottom layers had stayed attached to the bone the middle came squirting out.

The procedure, itself, doesn't really mean anything long term.

It's less likely that he delayed the procedure until now than it is he just got the herniated disc.
Herniated disk means trouble.

I think he is out of consideration now at 10, no way you can use a top pick on a player having back surgery, even if it's minor.
This real bad news for his camp because I expected him to blow up his pro day. I really feel for the kid. The bad news for him is Covid-19 keeps him from coming to teams and having a medical check up. The Cowboys have probably the best medical team in the league.

When you have an injury history, have the entire yr to prep for the combine/workout and you need surgery, it's a huge blow to his stock. I cannot see him falls out of the 1st rd, he just is too talented, but might slide into the 20's.

He’s perfect for a team like Baltimore who is deep at corner this year. With our current corner situation we cannot afford to have him miss any time

Still, bad sign... red flags.
