stuck this in quarterback zone due to continued (and expected) QB talk overload

....But according to Cowboys Hall of Fame wideout Michael Irvin, appearing on CBS Radio, there is zero chance Romo’s retiring.

“Tony’s not retiring. Tony’s not retiring. Tony loves to play. Tony is a competitor like you’ve never seen,” Irvin said.
......etc

"This dude can play any sport and play it great. I want that. I want that on my team. He’s not retiring, I can tell you that.”

Word is... Romo IS retiring. Michael Irvin doesn't have inside information on the subject. He's no more than another fan that can only express what he thinks. He doesn't know what he is talking about. Clean your own house playmaker and stop dirtying Romo's.

I've been saying all along that its an option not to be ruled out.

Some were saying Dallas would make him pay back the bonus money (even Nate Newton on the radio yesterday) but I say no way Jerry would do that. He's not even doing it with Doug Free (1 mil) let alone Romo.

Not sure I'd predict it, but its not far-fetched that he hangs it up...imo.

Do right rule = no money paid back when he retires.

I don't want to see him in another uniform. But importantly I also want him up right for awhile so he can enjoy sports and life with his kids. The man has given enough. Retire and live, tony

Back injuries are just no joke. And it catches up with you down the road

I don't think even Romo knows what his future is at the moment.

jerry is trying his best to force tony to retire and as much power as he has in the league it will probably work

I doubt that Romo retires. There is no way that he wants to retire now.

Why would he retire now? He is healthy and ready to go and he will make a lot of money on a good team.
That's easy to say not having lived life the past decade as Tony has. He want's to start and that's not the position he's currently filling.
