If he is walking on it then he is an idiot

I was walking three weeks after mine , running at four. That was 20 years ago without the science we have now. You're talking about Dez super freak Bryant. C'mon man

depending...probably not. natural movement helps blood flow which is important to that healing. as long as the bone was repaired correctly...its actually probably best he use it.
I heard a surgeon say the same thing this morning on the radio. He just needs to not overdue it and follow the doctor's rehab instructions.

Ok. Thank you. Really. That's what I want to hear and know. Real experiences.

We heard 10 weeks or whatever
We heard about the same injury to other players that were never the same or didnt come back from it etc

It's just weird.... Questionable.... And possibly setting Dez up for quick reinjury.

I'm kind of amused at folks that think he should stay off his feet 24/7 until he is cleared to play. This thing is not a big deal, he'll heal up just fine as long as he's not kicking field goals with it.

Every surgery I had given it was soft tissue stuff, docs told me for the next X weeks keep it immobile after that start small movements until you can't handle the pain. After my last shoulder surgery the PT place was so surprised by my range of motion on my first visit, they said for the surgery I had that I was 3 weeks ahead of the norm.

Ohhhhh was it initially a 10 week healing timeframe?

Lol

I don't really care. I think Dez and overrated and dumb are becoming synonymous..... And I like Dez.

He had a chance to be Irvin/focus-like... Instead he is out their smiling... Dropping balls.... Getting taken out of games for entire first half's... Sometimes for most of games.

I would hate to hear what you say about guys you don't like.

That's like placing a 3 year old prize thoroughbred pedigree race horse in the gate, opening the gate with the bell and saying "Stay horse Stay"!!

Lawrence just had the same surgery last year and was not out 10 weeks,

You seem to just want to hear the most negative thing.

That's @REDVOLUTION. His opinions shouldn't be taken seriously, as they often are very shallow in depth.

True, he was working out after 6 weeks but because he was on IR he could not play until after 8 games. In the case of Dez he is not on IR, when he is healthy he will be back in the lineup. How long that may be is any ones guess. The fact he is able to put weight on it this early is a good thing

Ummm, you shouldn't tell a horse to stay...more like, "easy girl (or boy)"!

Ok. I'll reply without counter insults.

I'm just looking at big picture. All good.

Look, I agree. IF Bryant is going against the doctors wishes, he's being stupid. But I think this is more of a mental thing for him, I don't think he's pushing himself to any kind of extreme.

It's just a little weird that was the first response to this, but whenever the sprained ankles for Witten comes up; we "He's a warrior!". I also agree with that, Witten is tough and a very old-school kinda player. But having two sprained ankles and planning on playing a full game is really, really risky. Sprains have a way of lingering or even progressively getting worse with little rest.

This also comes down to how severe the sprains are as well. I'm thinking his sprains are mild and that's why we haven't heard much on it.
