That's nice but it doesn't mean a lot. Looking at a schedule and deciding who is tough and who isn't is a silly game.

Who here thought the Rams game was a big one on our schedule last year? Most people thought the Rams were a W.

Very true. Last year is last year in the NFL today.

I will say, however, that the Rams game last year should've been a W. There are games this year that, looking at them today, they should win, but won't, and vice versa.

It could look totally different by then.. Only matters how this team gels and how healthy those teams are when we get there. Don't try and look deep in the forest., meet each tree on the way.

Well well well! Its about time someone recognizes what I have been saying since the schedule came out. This guy is right and people need to take off the rose colored glasses and come to the reality that the Cowboys are gonna have their hands full week in and week out. In 40 years of watching the Dallas Cowboys I cant ever remember them having to face this many playoff caliber teams on their regular season schedule. And then you throw in the games that many people think are wins for the Cowboys and those are no guarantee. These are the only wins I can see on this schedule. Bucs, Commanders, Colts, Giants, Lions. They split with skins and Giants but could lose to Lions or Bucs. I doubt they will beat the Seahawks in Seattle or the Titans either. They are not going to beat the Panthers,Texans, Saints, Falcons or Eagles twice.
At this stage right now I just dont see where are the wins are going to come from?

Ok, but realize that all NFC east teams are facing the very same opponents save for 2 so that those are a wash (other than the home/road differences which certainly can tilt the balance scale slightly). The other 2 games are:

Eagles - Vikings and Rams
Cowboys - Lions and Seahawks
Native Americans - Packers and Cardinals
Giants - Bears and 49'ers

Obviously, the Eagles are the favorites simply because of winning last year, but as has been the case for 15+ years, it's tough to repeat in the NFCE. Each year is a new year, but I think it is reasonable to think the Eagles 2 non-common games should be tougher the Dallas'. And as a 2 game set, the Native American's are just as difficult as Dallas', if not more so. Same for the Giants.

Bottom line, in my experienced opinion, there is no reason to expect that we won't be in a prime spot to win the Division. That's the first goal (I understand the absolute first goal is to make the dance, but winning the Division guarantees that and is a better position in the playoffs).

Same opponents except for 4, not 2.

The Cowboys have to play the Eagles twice, the Eagles don't - they play the Cowboys twice instead.

Ok, true, but it still is a wash - you control your own fate in those games. You don't completely in the other games. You can beat Atlanta, but it's a wash if the Eagles or Native Americans or Giants also beat the Falcons. I would argue that playing the Eagles is an advantage because a win there also guarantees a loss for them. It's tough to sweep a Division opponent, there has to be a significant difference in the teams to do that and, sorry, but I just don't see it.

Every year the so called experts try to predict toughest schedules ect. The truth is we have no idea who will and will not be good, great ect; on our schedule or anyone elses. It's like when the so called experts say we have the worse receiving corp; once the season starts our corp may be top 10 based on overall production.

Yup, I've learned to manage expectations. I use to go into each season with Super Bowl aspirations. The past couple of decades have been humbling.
I just want the cowboys to make the playoffs, kinda boring when they dont even have one playoff game.

I usually pick some other teams to root for in playoffs, so if dallas doesnt make it or is 1 and done it is
still fun to watch playoffs.

If they dont get past div round, next 2 years, we might get a new HC, but if they do then JG will be here
for next 40 years !
I kinda enjoy seeing JG lose in playoffs, it is messed up , sort of love hate, I love cowboys, but hate
JG and jones family.

They need a new rule in NFL. that every 20-25 years team owners have to sell to new owner.
It would change things up, and Jones family would have used all their time by now.
