WR Patrick Crayton on the talent at the WR position: “It’s great. Every day, every play you are on the field you better bring your game. That is what makes the NFL. If you’re not a competitor, you should just stay in the locker room.”
Rookie NT Josh Brent, a seventh-round pick in the supplemental draft last week, broke his ring finger Sunday in the morning practice and won’t return for the afternoon practice. He is expected to return with a cast on Monday.
CB Orlando Scandrick, who suffered a broken finger this summer in OTA practices, on dealing with pain and extra tape on his left index finger under his gloves: “It’s still painful, but I can’t worry about it. I have to keep practicing through it.”
Cowboys WR Dez Bryant continues to make the best catches and has quickly become the fan favorite in San Antonio. With Pro Bowl CB Mike Jenkins draped on his back, Bryant’s diving catch on a deep post put those in the end zone on their feet.
TE Martellus Bennett, often criticized for being too playful
off-the-field in making personal videos, said he’s ending his
online show “Marty B TV” to focus more on football. “I’m not doing any
more of that. Just football from now and on.”
