Not a Garrett defender, but I don't really see it as the HC job to motivate players. We don't have any idea of the opening script that Garrett prepared in this game because this team came out playing flat once again...

Even if it isn't his job to start the season (which it is), at what point does the King of Accountability take over and start getting these guys motivated?
