Cbz40 Post Game Thread | Dallas Cowboys 10 Denver Broncos 17 FINAL

...feel you on Garrett...but...the Romo we are seeing now may be as good as it gets...he was nowhere today, even when he had time to throw...he is regressing as a quarterback...he nearly got Williams killed...he and the offense personally handed Denver 7 points on a plate then failed to take advantage of the gift after halftime...not all his fault with Austin, as i think they had some miscommunication but if you can't trust a receiver he probably should'nt be playing...the situational thingy with Austin has'nt amounted to a whole lot this year anyway...

...one thing i know for sure is that unless the defense suddenly becomes the best in the league the cowboys won't see the postseason for the second year consecutive...personally i'm beginning not to care one way or the other as i think Phillips tenure in Dallas is on the clock...i'm feeling now the way i felt in 2006 at the end of the Parcells experiment...

...i've seen all i need to see to say without reservation that Dallas won't see a superbowl under Wade Phillips...and Romo has a few things left to learn before he can move this team through the playoffs and beyond...
correct, unfortunately....

romo is definitely regressing (i blame some of that on garrett, too...but romo is not playing well, period)....

you can blame jerry jones for mr. cupcake (i like him as a person; but he has no business being a coach). the worse things get, the more jones affirms him, & thus enables the ineptitude....

I had such high expectations for this team again.

That was a mistake.

At least we get a high pick though!!

your schpill is getting old.

If you are really ignorant enough to think that saying something bad about this team makes you a bad fan, or means you want them to lose, then you need to get a clue.

Everyone here (well most) root for this team, but most are smart enough to call a spade a spade...

Im pretty sick of you calling out people that say anything negative about this team...this team has a lot of holes and if you want to live in fantasy world and ignore it, fine, but most people are not blind enough or ignorant enough to do that....but seriously enough calling out people that say something negative about the team, next time you want to do it, just don't.

I've been a diehard fan since the 70's. Just because I knew Jerry sucks and Romo isn't a good QB doesn't mean I want them to suck and lose. But apparently we have a few mental midgets around here that think that way.

I think we were fool by the media and maily by ourselves.
We want our team to go back to it's glory days so bad, that we are trying to make heroes and leaders there they are not.

This is not a championship team
Romo is not in the league of Staubach o Aikman and NEVER WILL BE

Romo would not make a good bead of sweat hanging off Roger Staubach's left testicle.

There are not 7 more wins on the schedule for Dallas, try 4 or 5. We don't win next, cancel the season. I'm serious, put the baby to bed.

Well, I do agree with you that if we lose next week it's pretty much over this year.

That said, trying to be objective, this just doesn't look like a playoff or wildcard team - win or lose.

They will win just enough to get a mediocre pick. Book that.

Romo was way off because of the thin air? Yeah, the thin air in his dome...did u see the "deer in the headlights" look in his eyes that he had the entire second half? Face it...Romo is NOT the answer for the Cowboys at quarterback. Everyone says Wade should go, personally, what can u do with Jerrah's annointed "saint" bumbling and stumbling around the pocket? If the game means something, and there is any sort of pressure, Romo is a basket case. Bench him and give Kitna the ball. It can only help...

Before you guys start jumping off bridges, consider the positives from today:

a) We proved that Roy 11 was worth 3 picks and that the current crop of receivers can certainly get the job done. It obviously was TO's fault as can be seen by the HUGE passing numbers and ability to be on the same page that our guys are,

b) Wade style of coaching breeds champions! Why be hard on players like Cower, Billichick (sp), Coughlin, even how McDaniels treats his players. Being their friend certainly gets solid results,

c) Romo is one of the leagues top "clutch" qbs. He had 3 turnovers against the Giants, made adjustments and only had 2 today,

d) Fundamentals are overrated. Tackling, lining up right, being in the proper position are over blown. Simply by putting big names out there we can be successful. Who cares that they lost. So did other 1/2 the other teams in the league,

e) Jason Garrett's stock is still very, very high. How could it not be? He is onr of the top offensive minds in football as has been evident by the 3 year decline in production. Baltimore lost out when he turned them down. And those other 6 teams that have rejected him. What do they know,

f) Bobby Carpenter is solid. I think enough is said here,

g) Camp has this secondary coached up. We were only 27th in pass defense coming in, and did you see how tight the safeties and corners were on that last play. They even ran in to each other offering support,

h) There was no need to dump Bruce Read last year. Special teams is so overrated. They are the one bright spot on this team and we are 2-2. last year were we 9-7 so nothign much was gained,

i) There was no need to make a change in Head Coach because he will change. How can this be more evident than by the leadership he shows on the sidelines. I cannot recall a single time when Wade doesn't look like a leader of men out there!

See, there are positives. This is not the end of the world. Super Bowl here we come!!!

Id like a hit off that bowl, please

I agree-confusion and completely disorganized. It's one of two things.Either the players(including #9)are incapable of learning the playbook or the players are unwilling to put the time in during the week to make it second nature.Doesn't really matter why-this group just doesn't get it.

To Wade and Red: NANANANNANANANA, HEY, HEY HEY........GOODBYE......

period!

2nd straight game with no td

2 turnovers today

defend your boy

No defense of him for today, but he's still better than most out there.
Way too many other things that went wrong today to blame one person, again. Yes Romo was wasy off again today, as he has been so far this year.

It's his way of being a martyr.

Cowboy Clown would be more like it. I cant believe he actually believes half of what he says. I think he just posts most of it because he thinks it makes him SuperFan.

Romo friendly and continuity...

Obvious now that TO wasn't the problem, and Wade needed to be fired after the 44-6. Thanks for wasting yet another year Jerry the GM.
