Cbz40 Post Game Thread | Dallas Cowboys 10 Denver Broncos 17 FINAL

First off, how wasnt that a holding call on Champ? Both of his arms are wrapped around Hurd but no call. Someone tell me that if that is Hines Ward he gets that call without a doubt. Secondly, the Bennett hold was another one that really fried me. We have the ball past Denver's 50 yard line but a phantom call brings the play back and we have to punt. Austin just isnt ready. Too many mental mistakes and gives up on too many plays. Carpenter has no will to tackle or cover. Lastly, why wasnt Barber in the game late? Oh btw, a reporter asked Wade about that and he said he really didnt know why. Way to go Coach! Okay I feel a little better now... :banghead:

Yeah, Roy "Overrated" Williams had a couple of nice catches.

So what?

Talk about inconsisent!

Now he is supposedly hurting.
Right.
More like pouting because, believe me, he wants the ball on every passing play. Anything short of that is a personal affront. Won't be long before he starts pouting big time.

This overrated, overpaid and over-compensated-for receiver is at best, a lesser version of Miles Austin, except Austin is more talented.

Give me hurd, give me Austin, give me Crayfish or give me Ogle. Just don't give me Roy "Overrated" Williams. I am tired of his no-shows, his inconsitency and the reminder of how much we gave up for this barely average WR.

Cowboy fans deserve better!
******* post of well ever.

There is no question Roy Williams was hurt.

Unfortunately, Tony Romo threw a bad pass and Roy Williams paid for it, even though there was going to be a collision if he had caught it.

I dont know. I have been a big Romo defender, but he has been off. Not sure what is going on.

He's pressing too hard. He hears the criticism that he needs to manage the game so he overcompensates. I think his gunslinger mentality is what makes he who he is. If he's not totally comfortable in that role, he's not going to be effective. But if you allow him to be that way, you have to take the good (four TD games) with the bad (interceptions at the most inopportune times).

At least that's my theory.

im now convinced, i was in his corner, but now? no...i see how he runs, hes slow, and not convincing

You've made quite a few yourself. I don't think you want to go there.

I fear that we will be for MANY MANY MANY years to come what the

Saints,
Lions
Bengals
and Cardinals are, were, for a looooooooong time

MEDICORE LOOSERS.

Good grief charlie brown...you really don't think he was hurt or are you so in need of attention you just make it up?

Seriously?

This is not a Romo bash thread, but a true question. What is wrong with him? He is off. He has not looked truly sharp yet. Just my take, Garretts offense doesn't seem to be for Romo. I know he has to make the throws, but he sure made them in 07. Just an abberation?

He still hasn't recovered from the broken finger last year. That's my best hypothesis.

Seriously, a week 4 loss against a very tough team in their own house is nothing to be ashamed of. Sure Romo made some bad passes. Sure the offense was pretty stale.

But let's look at the positives... which that would be our defense. You can't really blame Newman on the Marshall play. And not tackling him after he caught it was a good thing, otherwise they would have ran the clock out and kicked a game winning field goal instead of giving us any possible chance, most likely.

The defense was stellar, and the offense was terrible... thanks to Romo and his two turnovers. But I have faith in Romo. He's a playmaker... his accuracy was off, but it'll come back. He's just in a funk. Just give him more time... I know you're tired of hearing that, but burning the house down after a week 4 loss isn't going to get us anywhere.

My main concern is the coaching staff. They're probably the worst coaching staff in the NFL right now. It's hard to put trust in them, but I am hoping they'll get their act together and Jason Garrett will make better decisions.

Just relax, guys. We'll bounce back even stronger than before.

We just put Denver on the map, now they will be taken serious :banghead:

i cant even blame wade for this loss

the defense held up for as long as it could

he put us in position to make plays and we flopped

spencer shouldve picked that orton pass of that led to a td

and newman had a chance to make a play on a bad thrown by orton. or at least someone couldve stopped him after he made the catch

this loss is more on our offense and garett

thank heavens we have "addition by subtraction"...

t.o. can't ever seem to edit his mouth-spew, but his message was clear & valid...garrett either can't make an adjustment, doesn't really want to, or plays pocket-pool at inopportune times....
