Cbz40 Post Game Thread | Dallas Cowboys 10 Denver Broncos 17 FINAL

Seriously, a week 4 loss against a very tough team in their own house is nothing to be ashamed of. Sure Romo made some bad passes. Sure the offense was pretty stale.

But let's look at the positives... which that would be our defense. You can't really blame Newman on the Marshall play. And not tackling him after he caught it was a good thing, otherwise they would have ran the clock out and kicked a game winning field goal instead of giving us any possible chance, most likely.

The defense was stellar, and the offense was terrible... thanks to Romo and his two turnovers. But I have faith in Romo. He's a playmaker... his accuracy was off, but it'll come back. He's just in a funk. Just give him more time... I know you're tired of hearing that, but burning the house down after a week 4 loss isn't going to get us anywhere.

My main concern is the coaching staff. They're probably the worst coaching staff in the NFL right now. It's hard to put trust in them, but I am hoping they'll get their act together and Jason Garrett will make better decisions.

Just relax, guys. We'll bounce back even stronger than before.

I'm with you on Romo. It's very easy to bash him right now, and not too many are coming to his defense. I am stating right now that Romo is a superb QB and will make a lot of fools on this board look like monkeys as time goes on. Most of them are antagonists, which this board seems to have quite an abundance of, or plain ol' trolls. They can spout their "I'm being realistic" crap...blah, blah, blah. If Dallas goes 2-14, I'll still be a fan of Romo and the team, and I'll look forward to free agency, the draft, minicamps, training camp and the next season. Life is too short to live in misery. I can only surmise that many of the complainers are just youngin's who don't understand that.

Mmm thats not all. Some players (and they are not a few) really, really need to step up and play a lot better...

NO NEED!!! The stadium will get us 2 wins this year per Jerry.

We are a mediocre ball club but there is still time to right the ship.

The bad news, Wade Phillips is our Head Coach.

More bad news, Romo is our QB

Even more bad news, after our #2 WR, Roy Williams, we have scrubs in Crayton, Miles and Hurd.

I do agree we have plenty of time left this year. But seeing the team make the same lame mistakes to loss games, I don't have faith that it'll magically change from here on out. It's been this way for some time now.

predicting seven wins. All you "fans" that jumped him should be ashamed. The man was calling it like he sees it. If we play like today I'm thinking about five wins: it's entirely possible.

Just curious, when did Emmitt say that?

The real question is why the hell was Witten in blocking? When the game is on the line he is your man 100% of the time. Throwing to the 3rd of 4th receiver, being covered by Champ FREAKIN Bailey, not once, but twice, is just insane.

Romo's fault for throwing it to Hurd twice, coaches fault for leaving Witten in to block.

I wish i was a bandwagon fan right about now so i could just stop caring about football until Wade, Garrett and half this team is gone. This is like the late 90s decline only this time we don't have anything to show for this so called good team :bang2:

I can appreciate the "glass is half full" viewpoint. I really can but, dude, it's obvious to anyone watching that this team is one dimensional against anyone but the worst of the worst.

Take away the run game and put it in Romo's and the pathetic WR corps hands and it's game over.

How many Quarterbacks in this league can win games without a Running Game?

I think our biggest problem is our Head Coach.

The Eagles and Giants have lost key players and have just chugged along.

When the going gets rough, all the Cowboys players have is Wade Phillips and he isn't an inspiring figure.

Jerry Jones has to disconnect that red phone that players can call to bypass the Coaching Staff and Wade Phillips needs to be shown the door.

First off, how wasnt that a holding call on Champ? Both of his arms are wrapped around Hurd but no call.

Bailey can get away with almost anything. Watch the play when Roy Williams got hurt. Roy have Champ a double move and would have burned him badly, but Champ knew he was beat and jammed Roy about 20 yards downfield. That's the reason Romo's throw was barely too far -- Roy would have been further downfield if Bailey hadn't illegally jammed him. How the refs missed that is a mystery.

Lastly, why wasnt Barber in the game late?

He was in the game for at least part of our last drive. I don't know what difference that would make, though, since we weren't going to run it in.

I am here. I think a lot of the people who are mad are young fans. I used to be the same way. Its just a game. When you get older you have other priorities like a family. Putting kids through college etc. 15 years ago I would have destroyed my TV by throwing a beer mug at it.
i agree...i drink my beer now, instead...

this was suppos to be a QB friendly offense, remember... yet, Romo is playing his worst ball ever... the passing game is the exact same. I told you this offensive passing game ran on talent alone.. it looks like trash now... Garrett's ineptitude was masked by the talent...

I disagree!!! He turned down Baltimore and what have they done the past 2 years since then??? Huh...what??? He is the next Bill Walsh.

:lmao2:

We are 2-2, not 0-4.

No chance we go at worst 5-7, really?

didn't Jerry say something a couple years ago about not letting this thing fail

well, it aint going anywhere either

this is our brilliant offensive scheme. i rank jason garrett as a hall of famer in the charlie weis school of frauds.

how bout them two tight end sets which would create match up issues... garrett the genius

"Wade and Garrett need to go." has been in my sig since the Philly game debacle of last year. I thought about changing it to start the season to avoid all the negativity but then stopped myself. And now I remember why I did so.

We aren't going anywhere with Wade and Red Jesus folks. We are the most inconsistent team in the league, when consistency is EXACTLY what you need to make a run in the playoffs (or even make the playoffs). It's either that our defense gets completely gashed, or our offense stinks it up. Or both.

I always wish Romo the best, but I am starting to lose faith. Bringing that guy into the playoffs (if we are even so lucky) is like playing Russian Roulette with 3 bullets. The odds are that he'll blow your brains out eventually and then there is no "next week" to recover.

The question about Romo has to be asked at some time. I'm not in to jumping yet, but where is he? He's looked off since Dec of last year.

Wow, guys gotta rewatch that. I wish I could grab some screenshots of that.

On the first one, Crayton went to the left sideline and Miles ran a slant, Romo didn't take a look at Miles at all. In his defense, he was already in his throwing motion when Miles was visible.

On the second one, Crayton was in the slot and ran an inside slant and this one he should have seen Miles, the guy defending Crayton was RIGHT his hip and Miles again had a step on his guy.
