CD Lamb is already a better “88” than Dez Bryant

Imagine if Romo had the OL Dak had pretty much his whole career, while throwing to Amari Cooper AND Lamb… I’d take both of them easily over Dez…. In this modern era, where DBs can’t touch anybody, speed beats physicality.. they are also much sharper in their routes..

Hopefully Lamb doesn't follow Dez/Odell/michael Thomas footsteps of getting a massive contract and then vanishing.

Would be nice to have a skill position player who actually lives up to the 2nd contract. Not exactly the best tract record of that as of recent

This narrative only exists because he got hurt and tried to play hurt. If he could do it all again Im sure he'd choose differently knowing some of these thankless fans.

Dez was the top WR in the NFL for a couple seasons but there’s more WR talent in the league now.

Lamb will set all Cowboys records for WR and will eventually be the most productive WR in Cowboys history. But he won’t be considered the best if he doesn’t win a championship.

CD Lamb has more yards this year than Bryant has ever had his entire career. Hes also been more consistent than Dez. Say what you want about this year, but Lamb has been a stud
Can understand that argument, I think Cee Dee is a better route runner, but Dez was just an amazing Red zone target and tough to bring down with his phsyical nature. Each were different styles of receivers. Would love to have prime Dez opposite Lamb, what a combo that would be :).

Lamb has been a stud, so was Bryant during his peak, his third through fifth years. Different offense, different teammates can account for the difference in stats. No reason to put down Bryant to talk up Lamb.
I tend to think Lamb is more route polished and works on his artwork more than Dez did.

- Dez took advantage of his sheer ability to overpower his CB foe, just way too big and wolf-strong.
Bryant combined pure strength, body control and run skills to do his bidding.

- Lamb is smooth and slippery, he has his own version of great body control and agility, and he has been
surprisingly durable and very seldom misses games per injury. Whereas Dez has always had issues
with injuries towards his wheels.. ankle, knee, hip .

- But Dez was more lethal dangerous on fades around goal line, and before injuries took over his wheels,
he was far more dynamic open field punt returner than Lamb, who seemed too slow for that duty.

- I believe Dez did not work on his craft, footwork and routes considerably - and when he physically slipped, he
had nuthin else to resort to. Thus he simply could not separate, and thus the Cowboys cut him.

Except the redzone imo. Bryant / Romo were unstoppable with the fade.
That's on the QB, not the receiver though. Dak's never been great at the fade. His skillset lies elsewhere.

Bryant was arguably the most physically talented receiver to wear the star. He had that power forward ability at the catch point but also was dynamic and explosive after the catch.

Lamb may not have that same physicality but he’s a plus route runner, has great body control, and is very consistent.

With Dez you had some ups and downs, he was an emotional player and it got the better of him sometimes. It was also what made him great though.

We’re lucky to have had both.

Bryant was always an accident waiting to happen. I’m not the biggest Lamb fan but he certainly has been more consistent and a better teammate.

You're wrong sir, He was hand-picked by Jerry Jones to be the next great receiver and receive the #88 and as we all know, Jerry is NEVER wrong about franchise receivers.

On a more serious note, was there a #88 between Pearson and Irvin?
