CD Lamb last 17 games

I think lamb was a bad rd 1 pick that year, they had just got amari, who was doing good, and they had cedrik, brown , gallup.
They should have used that pick on a lineman or def player.
Lamb was a fanboy jerry pick, liked him in college, so lets pick him.

As for since then, he looked ok as #2 to amari, but now no amari, so defenses can focus on him as # 1.
Combine that with kellen and his lame pass play designs, and play calling, and either dak or rush and you get a struggling
pass offense, that occasionally will look good.

Will remind that Cooper had 2 1100 + yard seasons with the current QB. In 2019 both Cooper and Gallup had over 1100 with Cobb over 800.
This was pre Greg Roman taking his soul

Since that game, only 2 receivers had 100 yd games

Gallup- 1x

Cedric Wilson- 2x (once being against the Eagles practice squad in week 17)

Unless we can get someone like Dez who can just go get it even with defenders draped all over him, we need the OC to help the WR get separation.
We should be running more rub routes utilizing the TEs with the WRs.

Separation is not the biggest problem here

Even Amari put up terrible numbers here last year.

Its the QB. Staring down defenders and having tunnel vision.

Did you not see the INT that Rush threw against Philly where Ceedee was wide open?

Donovan McNabb had a career year when he received TO in his prime.

Tom Brady shattered passing and offensive records with Randy Moss.

Randall Cunningham had a career year with Randy Moss and Cris Carter.

Jake Delhomme looked like a Pro Bowler with Steve Smith.

Isaac Bruce and Tory Holt started Kurt Warner’s miraculous career, and Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin revived it.

Even for average QBs, The truly dominant WRs who can still play will always raise the output for a QB.

Otherwise your WR is just a ‘system guy’ or maybe good, but not great.

I also think people mix up being a top 5 WR with being a WR1.

There are like 20-22 WR1’s at any given time. These are just guys who can be relied on as the focal point of the passing game and be keyed on by opposed DC’s. If the guy is 40%ish of your passing game production consistently then he’s a 1.

90ish catches, 1200ish yards and 8ish tubs is generally what you get from the non top-5/6 WR1’s. Ceedee is firmly in that 12-15 range of WR’s. Does that mean he’s elite? No. But does it mean he’s a 1? Yes.

Keep in mind all good passing attacks have multiple WR’s. Relying on 1 guy to do it all is how you get a Rams/Cooper Kupp situation.

Good way to say it. Unfortunately, I think most fan expectations are Super Bowl or Bust, and Hall of Fame stats or bust. Which is a great way to look at it if you’re the head coach, but probably unrealistic and doomed to disappointment if you’re a fan.

In my mind, CD is a poor man's #1. While he's still young enough to take a leap forward, he's only produced like a #2. Considering his draft position, so far he's been a disappointment.

CD is a legit #1 no question. How much time has he really had as the sole #1? Not last year with Cooper. And this year has largely been with the backup QB and overly conservative running game plans.

Go watch this year's all-22. Yeh they can get serration here and there but getting separation consistently is a problem with the current group of WRs.
Amari could get separation due to his great route running and speed and he also helped other WRs get separation due to him getting the most attention from defenses.

So who was the QB when Amari was here in 2018 and 2019?

I have seen the all-22s

Receivers are open. And like I said before, the 100 yd game problem wasnt an issue until the Denver game of last year. How is it possible that both Ceedee AND Amari’s last 100yd game here was with Rush?

A receiver will be open in most plays but it doesn't mean that open receiver was the primary or even the secondary read. By the time the QB can get to the "open" receiver, the OL could be collapsing. How many yards did Rush have per game when the receivers were that open?

Including the post season, he has put up the following numbers: 82 catches, 993 yards, and 4 touchdowns. His last 100 yard receiving game was Halloween last year, he's going on almost a year with ZERO hundred yard games. I think he's a good number 2 receiver, but not a legit number one receiver.

So define a number 1 WR? Honesty curious…

How did we go from these receivers get no separation to a receiver will be open in most plays?

You just said Amari could get separation because of his route-running but he only had one 100-yd game with Dak last season (same game as Ceedee). And no he was not “taking all the attention”. He admitted he wasnt getting double covered of bracketed by a safety. He basically indirectly blamed it on Dak without outright saying it

Amari Cooper, the ultimate WR1, had less catches and yards than Ceedee during that same timeframe.

So which is it? Is Amari not a number 1, or does the problem lie elsewhere??

A "receiver" will be "open' eventually if you have multiple receivers in a route on a play . That doesn't mean that QB can get the ball to him on that play due to OL not holding up. You want your primary and secondary receiver to get open quickly. A fourth read getting open "eventually" doesn't help even though technically that receiver is "open".

Why are you just focusing on last year only with Amari? How did Amari do in 2018, 2019? Wasn't Dak the QB who threw him the ball in those years?

WHO CARES 21 and 22 don't run together, its new season lets go by the numbers

2022

CeeDEE- 37-479 2 tds with Rush and scaled down run heavy offense 4million base salary.

AC- 32-422-4tds similar backup run heavy offense 20 mil base salary

odd Ones about the same or better than the other. Both not #1s I guess, ill take the player making 1/3 the money with better stats.

AJ Brown how many draft picks and $$ did he get that offseason? a lot 33- 503- 2tds run qb run heavy offense
1st round pick was 18th overall PLUS A.J. Brown signed a 4 year, $100,000,000 contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, including a $23,234,000 signing bonus, $57,220,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $25,000,000.

SO, that buys you 4less catches and 23 more yards..

seems to me and we can go on and on with comps CEEDEE is a # 1 he sure is in the same STAT category you like to bring up stats , correct??

who cares about 100 yard games.

Here you go OP go troll on this

Who said I was trolling? I never once mentioned Cooper

Because the OP brought up Ceedees last 17 games. Amari’s numbers were worse.

1 of them is considered this irreplaceable WR1 that was a godsend for us while the other is a WR2. Make it make sense.

And im not interested in what was done in 2018 and 2019. That was a long time ago in NFL years
