CD Lamb last 17 games

Amari Cooper, the ultimate WR1, had less catches and yards than Ceedee during that same timeframe.


So which is it? Is Amari not a number 1, or does the problem lie elsewhere??

Because the OP brought up Ceedees last 17 games. Amari’s numbers were worse.

1 of them is considered this irreplaceable WR1 that was a godsend for us while the other is a WR2. Make it make sense.

And im not interested in what was done in 2018 and 2019. That was a long time ago in NFL years

CD is a legit #1 no question. How much time has he really had as the sole #1? Not last year with Cooper. And this year has largely been with the backup QB and overly conservative running game plans.

Well he's almost halfway thru his 3rd year, hopefully he proves he's a legit number 1 before his rookie contract is up

I guess I phrased this thread wrong, Lamb is a number 1 on this team, but he's not elite. When I think number 1 receivers, I think of Chase, Kupp, Jefferson, and elite wr of the past. So neither Lamb or Cooper fall in that category

They probably got more targets with Cooper missing. Having said that, I was OK with letting Amari go but what I didn't like was that we didn't do much to replace him with someone. Especially knowing it was going take MG time to get fully back to being 100%.

He has already shown hes legit. He was the #1 last year. You want 1400 yards and 12 TD's then you will need a full season with Dak as QB and no Cooper as a 1a. Thats just being reasonable.

Including the post season, he has put up the following numbers: 82 catches, 993 yards, and 4 touchdowns. His last 100 yard receiving game was Halloween last year, he's going on almost a year with ZERO hundred yard games. I think he's a good number 2 receiver, but not a legit number one receiver.

Even Amari put up terrible numbers here last year.

Its the QB. Staring down defenders and having tunnel vision.


Did you not see the INT that Rush threw against Philly where Ceedee was wide open?

Inepto only throws if there open as he cannot lead them to the ball.
Now he made a habit of throwing to double coverage and triple coverage and if our WR catch it they catch it......
He will do it again and again vs the upcoming Bears who I expect to stop our run and have at least 2 Int from Inepto.

I've never had a really high opinion of Lamb.

At OU, he was a play maker with the ball in his hands, but it's easy to manufacture space for your play makers in the Big XII. He did not have to create a ton of space on his own, and now it seems he may be having issues doing just that in the NFL.

Good receiver; happy to have him. Still think he was a great value where he was drafted, especially at the time. But he's not a legit #1.

The more I look at Lamb, the more I notice there is nothing special to see. He's a slightly more dynamic Gallup.

cherry picking Dates, overlapping seasons etc. etc 100yard games are not a true barometer nor is overlapping stats..its year to year and this year my posts proves Lamb is doing well considering and very much in the same neighborhood as #1s as of today. I put Brown and cooper in the mix both make 20+ mil..show me how they are better #1s, THIS YEAR! a

now that proves your post didn't age well.. expectations to be what? Lamb isa #1 not elite, JUST LIKE COOP, but given a shot with dak and a bit more open offense , he will have even better numbers.

id say your expectations as fan is flawed , not lambs' game. we actually Need Gallup to step up and be threat on the other side, we need MOORE to open up the offense and create more open routes and for the luv of Gawd, find Turpin some real routes.. you will see Lamb will be even better and at the moment hes not bad AT ALL.

I blame our offense on MOORE but maybe daks absence , Gallups late arrival, Washington on the bench ,and no pressing need to open the offense up has a lot to do with it.
