Anyone still not happy with what he has done? Since Dak has been back the guy has been once of the best in the NFL. Moore putting him in motion on most plays its almost like he cant be stopped.

I have him as a top 10 WR, but outside the elite top 5 at this point.
It’s all about confidence, with the young kid. . He’s only going to get better.

We did have them together. Rather spend the money on defense which is what they did.

I’d STILL rather have the together. Shouldn’t need explaining . They spent Randy’s money on the defense and are currently openly begging a gimpy diva wanting the same money

He's definitely stepping up and developing more chemistry with Dak. He's also not been afraid to stick his nose in and block for the running game. He's doing it all.

I said it in another thread already, but he looks like the guy I watched at OU now; playing physical, and bigger than he actually is, while also being silky smooth with the ball in his hands.

Its called roster and salary cap management. Surely I dont have to explain that to you.

We would have been on the hook for Cooper for 22 million for another 3 years. Its was the right decision. Proof is in the pudding. Coopers money was used this year to sign Kearse, Armstrong, Gallup, Hooker. It will be well used over the next two years as well.

Gregory's money wasnt used because we didnt save anything by letting him walk.

hear me out. if they are actively trying to spend that same money on a wr, then it is available. and we wouldn’t have been on the hook for 3 years, because none of it was guaranteed.

They were locked into another 3 years had they kept Cooper. The decision was made to give Lamb the #1 position and it was a good one. WE didnt need to pay Cooper 22 million.

If its not obvious now, then it never will be.

Another guy that was proven dead wrong.

Par for the course for you. So Lamb has played all of one game in the playoffs in his first two years. Do you really think that is a valid point? Poor guy.

no, they weren’t. none of the remaining years were guaranteed. they could take it year by year and would be even more dangerous heading into the playoffs this year. i don’t care your opinion of him, but you’re flat out wrong on all of the specifics

Do your research and then come on back to the conversation. They had one window to get out with no penalty. It would have hurt to get out.

I think you need to accept the fact that they didnt want or need Cooper. He simply wasnt worth the money when you have a guy like Lamb sitting there thats better, more reliable, and cheaper.

Just accept the fact that you were wrong about needing Cooper and Lamb. Be happy about it.

I've done my research. That's the point lol. The whole structure of his contract was to have outs every year after the 2nd and/or the ability to restructure easily. You just don't know what you're talking about. And there's nothing for me to accept because I'm stating MY preference. I would like to see them together still as we have a wide open path to the superbowl and he'd be an excellent piece to have. vs trying to trade for cooks or fellate odell.

Not worth the money, Lamb is better. Simple as that.

Do your research again.

$40 million is fully guaranteed at signing including a $10 million signing bonus and the first two years of Cooper's salary. If on the roster on the 5th day of the 2022 league year another $20 million becomes fully guaranteed.

Unequivocally false. Just flat out wrong. And who cares who's better? THE WHOLE POINT IS THEY WOULD BE GREAT TOGETHER AND GIVE US A BETTER SHOT.

They chose Gallup for 12 million over Cooper for 22 million. Easy choice. And you could actually throw in Shutz for 10 million. 2 for 1. Much better.

yeah.... you do understand that that's how contracts work right? each year (after the first two) offered the same outs allowing for easily moving on or restructuring in years 3, 4 and 5. As I said. I'll assume you looked that up on spotrac and don't understand what you're reading. 2022 is only highlighted because the contract as it was no longer exists after he was traded to cleveland and they restructured it.

"Cooper was due to be a free agent in 2020 when he signed the deal. This contract was as simple length-wise as the rest of the deal is. The contract was for five years, and Cooper has played out two of those five so far. Therefore, he has three years remaining on the deal and is due to be a free agent in 2025.

However, the structure the Cowboys put in place gave them potential outs at every stage after the first two years. In essence, this contract was a two-year deal worth $40 million, with team options for $20 million a year in every subsequent year."

again, I don't care about right or wrong, what they did, what you think of what they did. I would like to see amari and lamb heading into the playoffs. a lot of people would. and given their desperate attempts at replacing him recently I'd wager they would too.

No I obviously understand contracts you do not. You thought nothing was gauranteed when it’s clear 20 million would have been.

Even tough you’ve been proven dead wrong on both lamb and needing cooper you continue to cry about it. Chestnut not man enough to fess up.
