You mean until they play the best defense in the NFL?
I would certainly qualify the Niners Defense as being among the best. The offense scored 1 TD and 12 whole points against them. I acknowledge that Pollard went down but that’s where the rest of the offense has to overcome.

The Eagles offense hung 31 on the Niners the next week with no points coming from their defense.

Talk is cheap and we’ve heard a lot of talk here for over 2 decades now

Oline has gotten worse. Is that what he means by "all must come together"?

Oline is the key to the consistency and potency of an offense. Its our biggest weakness.
Interceptions and our inability to score against defenses like the Niners were our biggest weakness

Wow did not take long.
CeeDee makes a statement that any player on any team would make at this point of the off-season....but we have to have the Dak crap in every thread.
Just playing devils advocate but, have you interjected this same sentiment when Romos name is brought up in many of our threads? I mean, the same people bring him up and the Dude isnt even relevant anymore.

Just a question……not an allegation

The ceiling because of the quarterback

The term "score from anywhere" isn't a literal term. Just means you have speed to score from far away.
I understand the term, but someone had asked when was the last time we scored from 70+ and that's the last one I could remember.

Hilarious how some of you still haven't figured out that the 49ers defense is ELITE and dominates against just about any QB they face.

Fans who have no clue how the rest of the league operates.

We’ve heard this so many times here……until they play a great defense and score 1 TD and 12 points.

maybe this season they actually do it instead of just saying it
"A great defense"
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Try the very best defense in football that has dominated against great QBs for several years now.

You watch the Cowboys closely but you don't have a CLUE about the rest of this league.

Addition of Cooks and subtraction of Schultz leaves some questions about the passing game, but until I see PROVEN depth at the RB position, I’ll wait to see the results.

especially come playoff time
Do you actually believe Schultz was more than just a guy? I promise you, you won't miss him this year

Dak played like crap.

NFL history (and common sense) tells is that's EXACTLY what's to be expected when a good-but-not-great QB faces an ELITE defense, on the road, and without one of his only 2 elite playmakers for the entire 2nd half.

It's hilarious how many "diehard fans" who spend SO MUCH time posting here have no clue how this sport works.

"DURRRR DAK SUX HE'S THE REASON WE LOST!!"

Imagine thinking DALTON SCHULTZ will be tough to replace.

My God, you know NOTHING about this sport.

I have enough of a clue to know that the Eagles offense hung 31 on that defense the very next week and Hurt‘s offense scored 4 TDs……..

Mahomes would have hung just as many on them because we know what an elite quarterback brings to the table……except some here.

sorry about not using emojis…..I’m over 12 years old

And yet the Cowboys drafted his replacement in the 2nd round…..care to rethink this?

The Cowboys thought they might miss him……ergo franchising him one year and drafting his replacement with the 2nd round pick……….the FO disagrees with you, lol

Didn't the niners defense get shredded by KC and Philly? Some of the comments on here acting like it's the 2000 ravens. Our offense was the problem not their defense.

LOL, ah yes...put it together. Such a small nuisance. It's like the "give him time and he will pick you apart" for a QB...of course you give any NFL QB time and he will pick you apart. Hope CeeDee is working on his route running and separation.
1300+ yards last season, Another threat as far as recievers go, Main dude one more year removed from ACL surgery O line looking sturdy at least

Yeah I would have to say he's right. They can and have put up numbers

Apparently the number 1 offense in football can't hang with a D that good. Probably better than the 2000 Ravens and the 85 Bears.. hell I'll even add the 92 Cowboys to that list.

I don’t interject that at all. you must have me confused with someone else.
And correct Romo is not here anymore, as some feel they need to bring him up to justify their agenda. For good and bad agendas.

Just like now…why are you bringing this up. It has nothing to do with this thread.

The Cowboys had more yards than the Eagles lol. Hurts only threw for 121 yards and was, realistically, pretty terrible.

Philly's points in that game were just a reflection of the fact that SF didn't have a quarterback, not that the Eagles offense was prolific.
