Andy Dalton did what he has done his whole career. Folded when the lights are brightest. Not putting the loss in that Giants game on him because there were some really dumb penalties taken (Jordan Lewis headbutt comes to mind) but Dalton looked lost at times as he has his whole career when the pressure is on.Andy Dalton, without Martin, Smith or Collins in the line-up, would have been in the play-offs if this guy didn't drop a wide open pass against the Giants on the last drive...
Not last year. Cooper was.
Dak has had a 1000 yard receiver 5 times, but has never had a 1200 yard receiver. Not saying CeeDee isn’t capable of it in a 17 game season, but his QB may look to spread the ball out too much.
He really doesn't have much of a chance to put up elite #1 WR numbers. Not with this QB.
Just like any of Jerry's head coaches are set up to fail. The same is true for Prescott's receivers.
Amari Cooper was drawing double coverage and getting defenses best CBs and was Daks first read. Amari has been WR1 the day he put on the Cowboys uniform.Yes last year. Cooper was #3 in 3 out of 4 receiving categories and tied for first in TD's with Shultz.
Lamb led the team in receptions, targets, and yards. He was already the #1.
Wait? I heard our backup RB was gonna be the number 1 wide receiver.

I didn't contradict myself. Ask 100 people on this forum and 99 of them will agree with me. I love how you try to come off as some kind of football guru.So which is it? Was he getting double covered or the best corner?
I know some of you simpletons like to think this was happening, but it wasn't. This has been proven incorrect several times in threads throughout the year.
Lamb and Shultz were also getting plenty of double teams throughout the year.
Both Shultz and Lamb had more targets and receptions. Lamb more yards. So your claim he was the #1 read is completely laughable.
Lamb took over the #1 spot. The numbers clearly show that.
Cooper was the #3 pass catcher last year in our offense. Its one of the reasons we let him go.

Coops contract was the main reason he was traded.
I proved it in my original post.Go ahead and show me how Coop was the #1 WR last year for us? Just because you say he was?
I can show you the numbers that prove he was the #3 option on this team. Which was the reason he was traded. He wasnt worth the money.
Go ahead buddy, prove me wrong.
I proved it in my original post.
Who drew the opponents best CBs?
Who drew the most double coverage?
Who was the main focus to stop from opposing defenses?
Thank you.
Nothing I said was incorrect or you could refute it. The Cowboys traded for him to be the #1 WR.You didnt prove anything? You simply said a few things that were incorrect.
So are you saying that Cooper was a decoy last year?
I hate to break it to you buddy, but being the #1 WR isnt a theory. LOL
Its the guy who has the best numbers. The guy the QB relies on the most. Your boy was the #3 option. Whether you can handle the fact or not.
Nothing I said was incorrect or you could refute it. The Cowboys traded for him to be the #1 WR.
Ill save the theories for you.
Cooper didn’t remotely look like a #1 WR last year. It was time for him to go. Lamb has every opportunity to be the guy.I refuted all of it buddy. Every single one. Here is the proof that Not only was Lamb the Cowboys #1 receiving option and Dak's favorite targe, but Cooper was actually #3.
Lamb 120 targets, 79 receptions, for 1102 yards and 6 TD's. He even had 76 rushing yards
Shultz 104 targets, 78 receptions, for 808 yards and 8 TD's
Cooper 104 targets, 68 receptions, for 865 yards and 8 TD's
It really wasnt close buddy. Enjoy soaking up those facts.
"duh, but Cooper was still the #1"
You ain't earned it yet, sport.
