CeeDee Lamb

Sorry...this guy is very overated.

If it isn't the drops, which about half the time, it is.

It is poor route running or, like on the dak sack fumble, a half assed block attempt.

Clearly the #1 WR on the team. 3 drops today were troubling, but two of those were going from the shadow into the sun. Couldnt see them.

Oh but I'm not gonna bail him out though with that. While I do agree people tried to crown him early......it was deservedly so. A lot of people had him graded out as the best receiver in last years draft. I mean he's light years ahead of Reagor but we know his potential. His play is just very inconsistent and that's just incredibly disappointing.

I was basing mine on what he'd done on the field his rookie year since I don't follow college. I was not seeing Canton-worthy and was more fearful of a sophomore slump than a step up to the next level because of the inconsistency you speak of. To be fair though, the same could be said for Cooper's early career so there's always room for growth.

He had a great rookie campaign. Justin Jefferson had a even great one.......but as of right now stats aside I'd say he was better last year knowing he was a rookie than he is this year. The rookie campaign he had last year says that yes he should've been one of the best receivers in the league. He has not showed it at all.

Yeah at some point you have to call it like you see it. Those drops are a issue.

I don’t know it could be a problem with concentration. He’s shown great hands on some throws. It’s something he’s going to have to work on it’s becoming a real issue.

Very inconsistent....and today it looked like he blamed the sun for some of the drops.......he's consistently dropping passes I guess.....

Hes disappointed me lately

Its all mental
I think that's whats disappointing the most. I don't know how you fix it. I don't know if its just a wait and see approach or what. I have no doubt in my mind he's a great player he's just not showing it.

In his minor defense it would be nice to give him something other screen passes to try and get him going.

Lamb is my guy but if we're being honest....stats aside....his career has started out underwhelming for the potential he has. People had him as one of the best receivers in the league potentially coming into this season. He just doesn't effect the games as much as I believe he should.
Yep!

"Best receivers in the league?" There's a lot of those. Lamb is part of the "pretty good receivers" in the next grouping. Still time to perfect the craft. I'd feel better if we find a way to keep Gallup and defer a decision on Cooper to after next season.

CeeDee is smelling himself to much lately. Cooper has disappeared as usual and Gallup is just that-Gallup. Someone said "overrated wide receiver core"?

Is it too late to say that if Lamb actually caught the pass that Dalton threw to him, instead of dropped ITV Andy Dalton would have led the Cowboys to the playoffs?

He also had drops his rookie year.
