CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders add Trey Lance to their negotiating rights list

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."
Great movie

Shough will be too high for Dallas imo, 2nd or 3rd round guy.
I'm of a different thought, taking a real QB(not Ewers) prospect in the 2nd gives us 4 yrs of rookie scale. I believe the earliest we can realistically cut Dak is the beginning of his 3rd year. Having a capable replacement behind Dak is good insurance in case Dak goes down

All the lovers of this kid last year.....LOL

Nobody wants him.
Was there any "lover" of him except for maybe one person?

From what I remember reading, most people thought he was raw, had some talent, and needed reps and an opportunity. That arose with Dak's injury, but the Cowboys decided not to pursue it because they're simply a stupidly managed team who TPTB thought still had a chance at making some noise in the playoffs when it was pretty clear they didn't have one.

This should give you an idea....its all downhill from this guy:

Nathan Rourke is the highest-paid CFL player of 2024. He plays quarterback for the B.C. Lions and earns $600,000 yearly. Rourke's popularity in Canada and his play when he was last with the Lions in 2022 justify the top salary. He signed for the Lions in August after getting cut by the NFL's Atlanta Falcons.
Wow, yeah Lance is a poor QB and is an idiot for not accepting the Cowboys offer. Lance made a bad decision there.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

You are not going to believe this, but my best dude who've I've known for almost 3 decades (yes, he's an Eagle's fan, but we're pretty cool about it. Especially while he has the upper-hand... for now) just randomly sent me this the other day because... flip, because we're good friends.

That's still one of my favorite movies.

when Dak got injured, the season was clearly going down the drain. I could see them trying a while with Cooper, but really they needed to put Lance in and see if he had real potential. But instead as always when a smart decision needed to be made, Big and Little Enos blew the call.

Lance and his agent wont accept Jerry’s offer of 1M per year.

He’d be better off getting paid in CAD than taking league Min from Jerry.

Taking into consideration that you have been overpaid for 4yrs and the highest paid CFL player makes 600K, the league minimum is very fair.
