Our 1st round draft pick is getting better.....halfway past season 2? That's a problem that no one wants to see.
Not every first rounder is an instant success, as much as you'd like them to be.

I'll settle for Mazi being a decent player, because I fully expected a bust lol

Some players don’t even play well right away. Just the nature of football. If he eventually becomes a solid starter then who cares how long it took.

I see some posts in this thread that seem to indicate people are angry he's improving...It takes some players some time. People were ready to give up on Aikman after his rookie year (including his coach).

The train is moving.....your 1st pick has do well, sooner than later.....given the track record of our team.

I know most don’t want hear it, but it’s always a good sign that a guy continues to battle and progress. I think that says something about Mazi. He had the weight loss, the injury and missed time before camp. He’s starting to show signs of life. The get off is getting better, shedding blocks, developing a dip move on a pass rush? What! What I do notice is when Mazi has a good base and balance he is a different player, but when he doesn’t it’s sloppy. I read the other day on Twitter that he was one of the better rated tackles over the last few weeks.

Keep working and find that consistency, big fella.

They like I am are ANGRY that a FIRST RD PICK is not even an average starter yet

I feel the same about our 2nd round pick. I feel like overshown was a hit but that draft was a miss when you consider we sat out FA pretty much

He seems average to me. In any case this thread is about his improving play, that should be encouraging to anyone. If you aren't happy about his play up to this point, that's fine. But why poop all over him in a positive thread.
