PSU can definitely be on that list.

I wouldn’t put Alabama on it yet though. They are still in the playoffs, and they’ve won some championships in the past decade.

the talent is still there; but Saban was able to build incredible staffs and that was the key, New guy cannot do that

Saban had EVERY advantage.
He created the arms race with expanded and expensive staffs and amazing facilities that outpaced NFL ones.
And he had tons of booster cash flowing to players under the table.

Saban crying about NIL now is about the weakest stuff imaginable. Really needs to put on his big girl panties.

Many teams did.

But watching BYU get destroyed twice by TT and then last night, there are few teams outside of Tulane or JMU I think they could have competed with in the playoffs.

Nope. It's not rocket science. Anyone who watched the SEC this year knew Bama can beat anyone. The playoff has always been an eyeball test.

They won their playoff game on OU's home field. So, this line of argument is moot.

Anyone who watched Bama play this year and last year knew they could lose games and many games that were very close.
