It's not even close. I'm in NY...I see all the Giants games..and hear all the Giant and Eli hype.

He had one run in the playoffs during which it was his job to not screw up....he did that well.

He completely lucked out on that, close your eyes and throw the ball to Tyree, who made a catch that if the same play happened 100 times, he'd miss the ball 99 of them...

And suddenly Eli became a top flight QB?

Please.

He's a slightly above average QB. His accuracy is awful. And has always been.

Thats so cool. He gets 10 votes from me on Dancing with the Stars just for picking Tony.

I'd definitely take Romo.

However, I think most people here underrate Eli. He probably had his best year last year but the defense was terrible and the running game inconsistent so they tanked to end the year. I'd probably take Eli over McNabb among upper echelon NFC QBs but below Romo, Favre and Brees.

What percentage of the league are not Giants players? and that is your answer sir.

It's gotta be higher than that.

I didn't know the 25 percent of the league is ********.

I thought it was more.

You'd be surprised how many across the league value "Super Bowl Winners".

75% may be a bit low, but not much. There's still plenty of Romo haters in the league out there.

AMEN!!!

I was about to type the same thing. They're not even comparable, but the fact that the Giants (not because of Eli) won a fluke SB makes him "so good". It's ridiculous. He threw TWO game losing picks on that final drive. Horrible passes that were dropped by the Patriots. Pure luck. Throw in the Tyree nonsense and you have the biggest fluke victory in SB history. It was certainly not because of Eli that they won. He is above average at best. Romo is very good.

Of course Dilfer, Hostetler, Brad Johnson, Doug Williams were all as good or better than Marino, Tarkenton and Kelly too...

Eli = Extremely lucky idiot

His only season where he really was better than average was last season and even last season he wasn't all that great, despite having a full set of weapons.

I'm actually not sure that I disagree with the guy who said he'd take Kyle Orton over Eli Manning. If anything, hes been in a worse system and progressed faster than Manning has towards becoming a good QB.

He didn't burn things up in Chicago, but when is the last time a QB there has? Rex Grossman was their last great hope prior to him and he had a tough time beating nobodies, being incredibly mediocre himself.

Prior to that you have to go back to the mid-90s to find any even decent Chicago Bears QB. It's really a record in futility. Orton went to a better system in Denver and had nearly as good of a season as the best season of their "star quarterback" Jay Cutler who simultaneously stunk it up in Chicago.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is: Manning is overrated, Orton is underrated, and I sure wouldn't mind having him as our backup QB in Dallas if he wanted the job.
