Wades must be sewn to his pocket, it was clearly an incomplete pass when we got the roughing penalty anyone else see that?

Why use a challenge when you're still going to give up the 1st down?

we held them to a fg right if anything it could have been a longer try

Incomplete or not, can someone tell me why that was Roughing the Passer? Did we hit him helmet to helmet? It certainly didn't look like a late hit.

was called helmet to helmet

Because of the additional yardage, more 10 yds. I believe. I saw it on replay too, the ball clearly hit the ground and would have been ruled as such. That is on the guys in the booth too, they blew it imo.
I had the vibe though the entire game after the 1st Romover that Dallas was in a funk and against all odds would manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory somehow.
They are not mentally tough and between Garrett and Romo the offense was doomed today, out coached, out executed, out toughed and out desired.
2-2, then 4-4 and probably 8-8 by the way things are looking.

Because the NFL sucks......

Because the NFL is full of pansy rules so that they can try and take the physical nature out of the game is why it was a penalty. That was a clean hit by Jay and it is just complete crap that he was flagged for it.

You can't even touch the quarterback in the neck, head or helmet, let alone make helmet-to-helmet contact. It was a penalty.

...it sure seems like we aren't getting any breaks. Marty B's phantom holding call squashing a potential red zone pick by Romo and the non-call on Bailey's illegal conduct against RWilliams negating another disappointing end to a drive.

There was questionable calls on both sides. Denver actually had more penalties, but it seems the Cowboys were more costly.

My only gripe is that all those flags seemed to disrupt the flow of the game.

Didn't see much helmet to helmet contact and it is a BS rule to begin with......

The ref thought it was helmet to helmet contact and in the end that is all that matters.

As for that being a BS rule, take it up with Goddell.

It was a penalty by rule, which really is kinda ridiculous. If you look at the game at the college or even high school level it was a form tackle by Rat.Form tackling is taught at every level of football only to become a penalty at the pro level(in some situations).Sometimes I believe the shoddy tackling that is displayed is a result of the rules of the game, how many hard hits are flagged for helmet to helmet contact or the such.As far as the quarterback being protected, with some of the rules being implemented they may as well put flags on them.I know nobody wants to see their franchise guy knocked out,but the rules protecting the quarterback are starting to seem a little over the top.

Craig

The refs are calling even the slightest touches to the QB, even if it is incidental and not dangerous. Its is destroying the credibility of the league and changing the character of the game for the worse. See the Ravens/Pats game......:(

The original thread though was about the challenge that Royal didn't catch the freakin ball!

It bounced off his belly and "Dufus" didn't do a thing. Yes we got the penalty...but it would have been 15....not 28!

Probably because they never showed a replay of the pass. The only replays were of the hit on the QB.

I personally feel the penalty is thrown more because more and more Qb's are lining up their helmets with the rusher. Go back and look but I think I saw Orton eyes follow Rats and dunk that helmet knowing its a free 15 yards. I know I saw Favre do it two years ago. If you notice QBs are falling right in the way.

yeah imagine how the ravens feel, they are probably the best team in the nfl, and got screwed out of another victory, we suck and are 95 percent sure not making the playoffs, oh well bad things happen to bad teams.
