Hopefully Chelsea, as long as Drogba is 100% then they are in good shape. Only problem is stopping Ronaldo, that's mission impossible.

I think it's likely to be Man United, they have been the best team all season.

They have scored more goals and conceded less than any other team in the Premiership.

The thing that may play into Chelsea’s hands is the state of the surface, the pitch was dug up and re-laid only 15 days ago, and is by all accounts very uneven and will not be conducive to Man United’s style of play.

The Referee may also have an impact. I'm not sure where he's from, but chances are he won't be as forgiving as the Ref's are in England. I wouldn't be suprised if a Penalty or Sending off has a bearing on the result.

Man Utd have been the better team throughout the year, but against Chelsea they don't have the best record over the last few years. I think Chelsea will take it, their power style will get them the victory. It all depends on how Chelsea deal with Ronaldo, nobody has ben able to do that this season.

I think Man Utd may rue all the missed opportunities from the first half.

Same as in any sport, you need to make the other team pay when you are on top.

Still think we may be destined for ET & Pens.

I have to say I'm dissapointed in how the game was decided, I hate games that the ref decides the outcome of. That Drogba sending off was a disgrace, it was stupid from Drogba, but it was a flick not a slap.

Congrats to Man U, but I think Chelsea were the better team over the entire game.

Chelsea deserved to win this if Terry hadn't slipped on his shot then they would have. The difference in winning or losing can really be small sometimes

congrats to Man u though very good game all around this one

If you're going to be a soccer (sorry... football) fan, is it mandatory that you start changing verb conjugation when referring to a singular proper name (i.e. the city)?

I can't get used to it.

Example: The Cowboys are going to win the Super Bowl. (correct)

Dallas is going to win the Super Bowl. (uh huh)

Dallas are going to win the Super Bowl. (wha???:insane: )

Guess I can't be a soccer fan...:eek::

I dont really know what you are trying to say. As long as you like the sport and understand whats going on, no one really cares about the verbiage you use.

Chelsea were the better team from halftime on. It was sweet justice to see Ronaldo get denied from his HIGHLY illegal penalty take. I wanted Chelsea to win, but seeing that bell end Terry fcuk it all up was amazing entertainment. I honestly dont know how Drogba got a red for what he did, while Tevez, who was getting in physical confrontations with any opposition player in sight got to stay on.

Ronaldo's penalty was the soccer version of what Crayton did against the giants, had he just taken the shot like he was supposed to he probably would have scored

Ronaldo always does that on penalties, he's only missed 3 all season. His penalties are nomrally deadly, that's the first one that has been saved. The run-up style stops the keeper from putting you off...he didn't hit it right though and it was saved. He scored Man U's goal though and single handedly won them the league...they can't say anything about him. He's won player of the year and is about to win world player of the year.

I slightly disagree. I don't think the ref decided the outcome of this game. As captain and important member of the team Terry is still taking that 5th PK even if Drogba was left in the game. That was the PK that could have and should have won it for Chelsea.

The ref made the right call. It is a bad rule, but the rule was clearly broken by Drogba. At least that is according to the announcers. It is not based on how hard Drogba hit, flicked or slapped the other guy. It is that he had his hand in contact with the face. That is all it takes. You can push a guys chest and upper body, but not the face. Like I said, it is a bad rule, but that left the ref with no choice. He had to issue the red card.

The field conditions had more in determining the outcome of this game than anything.

Most guys do a run-up to the ball. Ronaldo usually will throw in a slight change of pace during his run up, but this time he stopped completely. That is against the rules. It also threw himself off, which caused him to mis-hit the ball. It almost cost his team and he definitely showed a sign of relief when they won.

Drogba was taking the 5th penalty, not Terry. Chelsea confirmed it after the game, Drogba is always a penalty taker. I'm aware of the rule as I see it happen every other week in the premiership, but it wasn't a slap. He just flicked him like players always do and the ref based the decision from the assistant (who obviously judged it to be worse than it was).

Tevez done the EXACT same thing to Ashley Cole (that's the reason Lampard went after him) and nothing happened...the ref had a huge impact on it.

Ronaldo stops on 80% of the penalties he takes, the guy is my favorite player and his penalty and free kick style are both very different from anone else's. He takes his two steps, stops to read the keeper and then normally drags the ball low into the corner...this time he didn't drag it correctly.
