Despite Jerry's "protests and proclamations", I can't see another team rushing to hire Garrett after watching him drive the Cowboys ship into the iceberg this year. Anyone objectively looking from the outside can see that this was always a Jerry Jones vanity project that never came to fruition. And no other team or owner would have been this patient this long (save for maybe Brown and the Bengals and look where their exceeding patience with Marvin Lewis got them?)
Garrett talks it better than he walks it, so maybe he has a future in broadcasting or administration if he wants it? But the fact is, head coach just isn't his thing and he should give up that dream. The guy conned Jones out of about $50 million so he should be set financially and not be forced to work again at all if he doesn't want to.
Fans of team will barrage the FOs with angry phone calls, like they did with the Rams when Spagnola got the job. Nobody respects Garrett, despite what his fans try and sell. The only reason the myth is kept alive is because of friends in high places.
It’s laughable to even think Giants fans want him or wouldn’t go livid. NFC East fans in particular are dying for us to keep Garrett.
