Compared to Claiborne, Scandrick, and Carr - Flowers had a worse NFL passer rating, a worse completion percentage against him, the worst PFF coverage grade of the group, and led the group in touchdowns allowed. This was with better safety play and a FAR better pass rush than the one in Dallas.

Really? His play has really dropped off from his earlier seasons bc he was definitely a good corner for a minute. Hard to argue with those stats though but like our corners, we know scheme can mean a lot (outside of OScan).

Ouch. I would've never thought that. I wonder what was his problem with the linebackers and safeties he plays with? Chiefs actually have a solid secondary with Smith and Dunta over there.

He is not as great as some as some think he is, but no Massively overrated.

Well I think overrated by this board. Dez beat him badly on that long pass and the TD. I think he's just slow.

Their D was pretty solid until the end of last season too.

Flowers is a guy who can be bodied up by bigger receivers and beat. I don't like that. He doesn't have the recovery speed either.

Yeah, I don't like his size vs bigger WR's. I'm with you there

didn't dez eat his lunch last year?

Show me a corner that Dez won't eat 1 on 1?

Believe me Sherman would get his and I know Revis would.

Peterson gave Dez a rough day but that wasn't the same Dez we have now and we still didn't like getting Dez the ball often enough then.

Peterson? When?

Dez is the kind of WR that would give Peterson fits. Despite his elite size, pat Pete is just not a physical corner. He can hang with the best, step for step, get in tight on coverage, but once the ball is thrown to a guy like Marshall, Boldin, Dez or Calvin, he is outmuscled because of poor balance and improper footwork.

Dez actually got away with a big push off in that play. Flowers has always been faster than his 40 time. I've seen the guy hang with Mike Wallace (in his good years) without having to turn and burn and being able to keep his eyes on the play.

His speed may be gone now though. I haven't studied CB film like I usually do in the offseason this year. And he's of course always had physical limitations with bigger WRs. But a lot of corners do, or have an Achilles heel elsewhere.

Like I said show me a corner. Petersons hard time was 8 catches for 86 yards and a TD catch.

Sherman, Revis, Peterson and Hayden are pretty much considered the elite corners and Dez to me can do what he wants with any of them 1 on 1.

Honestly I'd rather have Scandrick on his contract then Flowers on the minimum. Flowers was bad last year, every game I watched KC play he was awful in coverage. It might have been a scheme thing since they went through a coaching change but I'd definitely rather have OScan on Welker than Flowers on him.

Saw that the chiefs are thinking of releasing Brandon flowers.... IF they do, should the cowboys be interested in bringing him in?

No. We have enough guys on the roster right now.

If we were hurting for cornerbacks, yes, but between Carr, Claiborne, Scandrick, and really Sterling Moore, I think we're good to go.

I think we are good there...and by good, I mean that we enough at those positions and what I REALLY mean is why as soon as someone is listed as being cut or otherwise leaving a franchise, do they become an immediate "zone" target?
Because everyone on our team is a bum, and everyone else's players are potential Hall of Famers.
