So, I work in an all glass building. (not many of those in NYC) Well, they had to change one of the windows today and it got really hot in our office while they were changing it. (It's 105 right now with a heat index of 113)

Anyway, it got so hot in the office that our COO sprang for beer today! (Sweet!) It's a damn shame he has horrible taste in beer. :( (Heineken, Heineken Light, and Blue Moon)

You're halfway there, now just wait a few rounds and then remind the staff about the topless laws in NYC!

With the exception of Heineken light, i like the other two.

I'm jealous, and Heineken is good. In fact I've got a few sitting in my fridge at home.

Blue Moon taste like a I would think table wax / cleaner would taste. (probably because it has lemon in it) You DO NOT put fruit in a beer! It's like a good steak. You never put steak sauce on a good steak. Steak sauce is only to cover up the taste of a terrible steak. Fruit covers up the taste of a bad beer. (which is why people put limes in Corona)

Heineken (and all it's brothers in kind like Rolling Rock, Molson, etc) taste like crap. That isn't the way a beer should taste. They shouldn't even call them beer. All beers of that favor should go by a different term than beer. Like Dirty Moss Water.

Actually, the whole lime/orange/lemon/citrus of choice wedge being stuck in the top of a beer bottle was originally done to keep flies out of the beer bottle.

Alrighty then...............so what's your beer of choice? (I hate beer snobs, by the way.)

Not a beer snob, just hate those beers! :laugh2:

I like beers like Negra Modelo, Modelo Especial, Shiner Bock, Guiness Stout, Sam Adams (Sam Adams Light is acceptable too), Becks, etc.

I generally prefer dark beers, but there are a few lighter ones I like too. I always like a good hefeweizen style beer. The beer needs favor though. If it's a watery beer like Corona, Coors light, etc. I want no part of it. (Coors regular is a million times better than Coors Light)

btw, I hate everyone. Does that make us even? ;)

Coors light is the only beer I won't drink because I get massive headaches from it. I don't know why, but it ruins me.

Have you ever had the greatness that is Yuengling Lager?

(the original brewery is still active and is about 20 minutes from my hometown)

I boycott Yuengling because it's from Philly. :laugh2:

Any Anheuser Busch products (that I've tried) gives me headaches for some reason.

Biatchin' about free beer....Wot Wong Wit Yew???

This thread is in serious need of a title change. Something like: "Beer"

Will get a lot more traffic. :D

Yeah, Blue Moon tastes like Fruity Pebbles and Heinekin tastes like skunk. I drink Sun Shine Wheat and Amstel Light for home beers. Guiness or dark beer off the tap. I'll drink pretty much any Mexican beer too. Dos Equis, Pacifico, Carta Blanca, etc...

I get that from Miller Beers. They all give me a headache.
Heineken is pretty good beer, I've never had the other two. I'd have preferred Dos Equis or a loaf of Guiness, but free beer is free beer.

I like Yuengling.

Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale (Longboard Lager is not bad either)
New Glarus Spotted Cow
New Belgium Fat Tire
Alaskan Amber
Shiner Bock

All solid beers. There's been a few seasonals I've really loved, but I'm not sure they all got brought back (Shiner Frost, Copper Hook Spring Ale)

Too many people touting their personal preferences as gold standards!

Though I must admit, I really sorta agree with NYCs list. I am not keen on the pilsner, and the faux pilsner flavored water that a lot of mainstream beers resemble. However, it is designed for summer drinking, and this is sure a hot summer, so perhaps.....

If its not legal beer in Germany, I am suspicious of it!
