What is it about the 30 years of failure do you fail to understand? You seriously cannot fathom that they have conclusively proven to be the very worst at their jobs of ALL TIME? This isn't hyperbole, it is proven fact beyond any doubt, so what makes you want to knee jerk defend them? Are you getting paid by them to shill? The blind hate so many "fans" have for these guys is pretty ridiculous.
To sit here and criticize everything they do and attack them personally, to act like you know them and how they do their jobs, how things will be in the future when JJ is out is just stupid.
He most definitely is an amateur because he has helped produce a team that is bottom 3 of the league in terms of the last time they won a Divisional round playoff game. Just because you can't be fired from a job due to nepotism for 30 years doesn't mean you somehow become good at it especially when you help set an all time record for consecutive failure for a Director of Player Personnel. There's nobody else that ever kept that job that long with any other team in any team sport in history without getting fired long before.I agree he skipped the steps to get where he is and that's not good. But he's been there so long now he's definitely not an amateur.
Much like you, I can’t figure out those who still defend the Jones. How many years does it take…40-50-100??????What is it about the 30 years of failure do you fail to understand? Do you like the utter failure over the last 30 years? Please explain beyond your hurt feelings of poor little Stephen and explain logically why you would take the contrarian stance.
I’m rolling! LolI agree. I think anything short of 50 years is jumping to conclusions.
Holy crap! You are the one that appears to have hurt feelings. The case you are trying make is full of exaggerations. The so-called 30 years of failure you claim is utter nonsense. There have been some very sold seasons in the past 30 years. Not winning a Super Bowl is not failure. You're an extremist if you think otherwise. I can't debate crazy so please tell me you don't believe that. What is it about the 30 years of failure do you fail to understand? HindsightHell yes for that level of talent.
As does every diehard Cowboys fan who’s been subjected to Jerry’s lack of seriousness when it comes to winning.Yeah...I am gonna need to see it to believe it.
Hey was the best player on the board and the best player of that decade. That was Jerry's biggest mistake. No Dallas Cowboys team will win the Super Bowl again as long as Jerry draws breath, so that's a different matter.Randy Moss was not going to get us to another SB; the team had deteriorated too much by that time
Nope. I knew that when he was coming out of college from Marshall. Anyone who has seen his highlights, knew what he was.Hindsight
Those other players were jags. Randy was a once in a lifetime talent. They don't even compare. Not even close. RW trade, tradeup for MO, Galloway trade, all cost us a ton more. Plus, we took a very good player in Greg Ellis.
The NFC Least is wack. Winning that is like beating up on 5A high school football teams. Getting into the playoffs just to be one and done means nothing. We've seen QB1 one crap the bed when the Cowboys defense held the opposing offense to 23 points and 19 points. Offense folds like a cheap lawn chair against elite defenses.I don’t know where to start with your ridiculous comment so I’ll remind you that winning a division guarantees you both a playoff birth and a home playoff game, both of which put you on a path to the end goal of the season for every team.
Also- the east does contain a recent Super Bowl winning team in the eagles and another team that made it to the NFCCG a few years ago.
Your comment is immature or baiting or possibly both and it’s frankly dumb
He was pretty flaky.Nope. I knew that when he was coming out of college from Marshall. Anyone who has seen his highlights, knew what he was.
The only knock on him that I knew of was that he liked to smoke weed. That is most of the football teams that I was a part of. So I saw nothing shocking there. He was pretty flaky.
I'll have to find the quote, but in Parcell's first season, there was def a conversation where Stephen made sure Bill knew that Stephen had more power than Bill.C'mon, that's a huge reach.
No need to find it. That happened. I’d describe Stephen Jones with several words that aren’t acceptable around here.I'll have to find the quote, but in Parcell's first season, there was def a conversation where Stephen made sure Bill knew that Stephen had more power than Bill.
Why are so many fans upset because Jerry has a weekly radio spot?Stephen has less of an ego and not inclined to want to get all the credit..................
Curious, how many owners or GMs have basically their own radio show to brag about how great they are doing?
I'll believe we have changed when I see we have changed.
They still have a salary cap. It is not like he can not use the money to line his pockets.I worry about Stephen running the team on a smaller budget and penny pinching everything.
