Sad news. Was just some article this week where it said that she was looking into possibly doing an avatar concert since her health was fading some.

I am not a country music fan, but there are a few country singers that rose above the one genre....Johnny Cash and Dolly were two for me.

On a side note...at a sad time, I post this as it was so funny at the time...

Saw this yesterday with Johnny. Such a different time. Can you imagine if a late night host made a comment like that today! He would be stoned, tarred and feathered.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and Nashville International Airport announced on Aug. 28 that they intend to name BNA after the legendary singer, songwriter and businesswoman.

"Gov. Lee spoke with Dolly’s team about the proposal this week," Lee's office said in a statement. "Her team expressed their appreciation for the extraordinary outpouring of support to honor Dolly and said they are touched by the idea and open to continuing the conversation."
