Changed my mind about OC

If the Cowboys want to effectively foster significant change in our offensive plays, Jerry might have to pressure Garrett to allow Moore the freedom to make play calls as he sees fit. Otherwise, it's likely that Moore would be the one to be pressured by JG to call plays his way.

We've seen a great coach can turn around a talented team (Rams) very quickly. If Garrett is unable to lead this team to the NFC Championship game with a rookie OC, then changes are sure to come. Questions is, can Jerry hire a great coach.
Any coach that Uncle Jed hires will be neutered at the door, and that's why no competent coach will come to Dallas imo

Simply because they are stubbornly running Garrett’s offense instead of one suited to Dak. I don’t think Garrett is going to let Moore change much. If they no longer run Garrett’s offense then he is no longer needed for anything except to set the practice schedule and clap on the sidelines. I just believe he will go down being stubborn trying to prove his scheme works.

So, why did they need to fire Linehan? They didn’t need to change OCs to do exactly what they did last season, and in fact, if that were the plan it would have been better to keep the same OC.

I’m wondering if you read the rest of my post discussing how the offense can change without a major overhaul. You seem to have missed that part. A lot isn’t a “scheme” problem, but how you use things within a scheme. Again, an offense can look very different simply by using some pre snap motion and shifts, and by utilizing different plays from the playbook, adding a few others, and changing what plays are called and in what situations plays are called.

The vibes of an "ode to billy Joe" ,,, paralleling of an Bobby Gentry-esque dark endeavored insight, are seemingly being detected,,,o_O

No, I was thinking "Bye, Bye Miss American Pie."
You know, took me curvy to the levee type of vibe.
The Gothic ode to Bobbie Jo gives me the creeps. More than @QuincyCarterEra
Or "Jubilation and Corn Pone," a familiar ditty we would sing to the lyrics at the Cyprus Theater in Liverpool. Ah, those were lovely times before the Ethiopians took over the neighborhood. Their films are awful!

Perhaps, yet I'll reserve judgment upon the actually feasibility of implied fun ness of good times once proven verification of pre or post famine Ethiopians are ,if in fact ,actual consequential differential sort of diagnosis,,, ya-know?

If they let him go then I think there is a chance he can help the offense
If he can just fix the redzone that is huge

:hammer:at the end of the day, this is what cost Linehan his job. Let's not forget 2017 we had four games where we fail to score a single TD.

Honestly, since we’re stuck with Garrett, I do hope Kellen Moore succeeds. But make no mistake, hiring a 29 year old with ONE year of experience as an NFL coach to be an OC, is not the soundest of ideas. We all have to hope it works while pretending it’s a good idea.

Check Garrett's early coaching resume.......may surprise you. Within three years of retiring as a player, he went from QB coach to OC, to interviewing for head coaching vacancies.
