Changes I want in the NFL

I want doctors on standby with Benedryl for referees that make up calls against the Cowboys. Making up calls against opponents will buy some leniency. Also freedom to treat coaches for stupid play calling, players pitching a fit for the ball and not catching it when it comes their way and other annoyances deemed necessary. All should wake up refreshed and with the proper attitude adjustment.

I want more months of football! If that means one bye week per month, then so be it. Stretch the goodness out because basketball, baseball, golf, bowling, fishing and NASCAR just ain't getting it!!!!!!!

Yeah, and that may not be the case if you go back to the dumb sudden death from the get go like it used to be. That was the problem. In many cases it was just offense and FGs (kickoffs are almost pointless in today's NFL), and for the other team just defense. A team may not get a chance to use their strengths, or conversely be forced to manage their weaknesses in those cases. Half the game.
Just go back to Ties then

Your idea of fair is not football.......OT is to get a winner not play a second game....... football isn't baseball that can play a double header...... it is about safety

Football is not fair? Okay....

It is noy and has never been about safety. They don't need to play another game either. What they have now is not the best, but it is a little closer than what they had before.

Increase roster size to 60
Everyone dresses on game day
PS increased to 15, teams can be given option to protect 5 players for no more than 2 seasons, this is to allow further development of these players.
Introduction of 2nd bye week, this will allow for teams to have a bye week before a Thursday night game.

Sorry to those that want London doing away with, A franchise will be there within 5 years if not a 17th game will see 8 games per season.

Thursday Night Football is here to stay, an announcement will be imminent re who will be broadcasting the game, expect big $$ to be paid out for these rights.

  • Full time game officials - no more geezers who work a desk job during the week
  • Replay Review - If you can't make a decision in 30 seconds, the call on the field stands
  • Roster Expansion - 53 dress, 0 inactive, 11 man practice squad - you make the team, you should have the opportunity to play
  • Eliminate domes - Say goodbye to your cushy, comfy homes - Play the game in the elements, like God intended
I was with you up until #4. Just said it somewhere else...I do not like the weather being a deciding factor in a game's outcome.

No suspension for weed
No more follow through with catches, if the player grabs it with 2 hands and both feet are on the ground it's a catch.

No football game has ever been good because of sudden death (and 1958??? Really?). One of the worst rules ever.

What you're saying is only half of a football team matters. So if neither team can stop the other, only one team is penalized? Seriously, think about that for a minute. You want a game to come down to luck more than football capabilities of both teams. That's nuts.
Every close game comes down to luck at some point. You think the Vikings drew it up that way last week?

No. No no no. No. It is perfect the way it is.
No it isn't......2nd seed should not be rewarded with a bye. Also, think about how much more drama and excitement the final 2 weeks of the season would provide.

Also, the fans get 2 more playoff games, while the league makes 2 more games worth of money.

Yes they did.....now, they were hoping to simply get the catch and get out of bounds to bring in the kicker, but by having Diggs be the deep route, it was set up for him to bust the play open if the D faltered.

Of course they should. The #7 team in the conference should not be rewarded by making the playoffs.

It wouldn't impact the drama level by a significant amount. You would still have the top 2 seeds fighting each other for #1. All it would do would be to shift the drama for the #6 spot to the #7 spot.

Let's go back to the rules of the 70s and make football the smash mouth game of old. While we're at it, lets get rid of the helmets and body armor in bullriding.

So were you against the league adding a 6th seed to the playoffs at the beginning of the 90s?
