Teams should take a chance on
1. Ryan Perrilloux QB Jacksonville ST.
Perrillous was one of LSUs biggest recruits in recent years but he was dismissed from the squad for various team violations and t ransferred to Jacksonville ST. He has a strong arm and a compact release allowing him to make any NFL throw with zip and accuracy. After an impressive week at the Tx vs Nation game, Perrilloux earned a draft spot by conducting himself well and handling questions about his past with maturity. With Perrilloux's upside he's worth gambling on if he conquers his off field concerns.

2. Legarrett Blount rb oregon
In a nationally televised game, Blount slugged a Boise ST palyer in tOregons opening game which it lost and was immediately suspended for the rest of the 2009 season as you all probably know. Hoever, Oregon reisntated Blount last Nov. in time for the Ducks final regular season game and the rose bowl. He is a thickly built rb with the size & strength to run through grab tackles & gain yds after contact. While Blount had a reputation for being lazy & uncooperative prior to the suspension, he seems to have learned his lesson due meeting all of the requirement s to e reisntated. At the senior bowl, Blount helped his stock with an excellent week of hard practicing strong running & surprising quickness, agility & athleticism. While many expect Blount to be a late round pick, he could go as early as the 3rd round if he has convinced a team hes improved his behavior.

3. Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma St
Bryant was suspended for the remainder of Oklahoma ST. 2009 season after the NCAA found that he had lied to investigators regarding a meeting he reportedly had with Deion Sanders. While suspensions are big news for the medial, when they concern something like this, most teams are willing to lookk the other way. Still, teams will do a thorough background check. But as long as Bryant ahs no skeletons an NFL team is going to gamble a first round pick on him because of his size, athleticism and receiving skills.

Teams should be wary of
1. Mike Williams WR Syracuse
Williams is a big and atheletic wr with good receiving skills who likely would have been chosen in the 2nd round if not for some serious inconsistencies off the field, He was suspended for the 2008 season due to academic issues, but rumors presist that the suspension ws only deemed for academs to keep the real story from coming out. When Williams regurned in 2009 he focused on the game and shined on the field. Then things went south again and he left the team. Rumors abound about whether he quit or was foced off the team, but either way its concerning. NFL teams want a reliaable player on and off the gridiron and may not risk a pick on someone who cant commit.

2. Junior Galette DE?OLB Stillman
Galette dazzled scouts at the Tx vs the Nation Game practices with his explosive pass rush skills, which can be hard to find. But there are numerous off field issues, including a violation of teams rules, that led to him transfering to Stillman from Temple. Most NFL scouts now say Galette will get a chance to prove his worth in pre draft interviews and could earn a seventh round pick. But unless he shows the maturity NFL teams expect, he'll only make it as an undrafted free agent.

3. J Marcus Webb OT West Texas A&M
Webb has been one of the most talked about small school players this spring after shining at the Cactus Bowl, which earned him an invite to the Tx vsthe Nation game. Webb is a tall and athletic offensive tacklewith the size and strength NFL teams look for in their starting linemen, but he struggledto keep his off field issues from impacting his play on the field. He began his college career at Tx and ended up at West Tx A&M after numerous academic problems. While Webb showed maturity in predaft all star games, it is going to take a tremendous spring for him to get drafted. Side note, the cowboys have scheduled a visit to interview him.

Draft Scout J''Marcus Webb News
02/08/10 - Texas vs. Nation Game Review: West Texas A&M tackle J'Marcus Webb was stout in pass protection and as a run blocker, and even got out in front of screens to dominate defensive backs. Charlie Campbell (Eastern Illinois) stood his ground in pass protection and looked fluid getting out in front of Holliday's TD run in the third quarter. - Chad Reuter, The Sports Xchange, NFLDraftScout.com

02/04/10 - Texas vs. the Nation, Wednesday: One of the more intriguing physical specimens on the line in front of Perriloux is another major college transfer, former Texas tackle J'Marcus Webb, who played at West Texas A&M for two years after earning All-American honors at Navarro Junior College. Webb proved Wednesday he has good enough footwork and strength to anchor against the defensive ends in his game, and he has some mobility in the open field. However, scouts watching him on the field were concerned about his willingness to participate in drills and were disappointed in his body language between reps. - Chad Reuter, The SportsXchange, NFLDraftScout.com

01/10/10 - West Texas A&M senior offensive lineman J'Marcus Webb and senior defensive end Eugene Sims helped the West All-Stars to a 16-0 victory against the East All-Stars on Friday night in the Valero Cactus Bowl before 1,125 fans at Texas A&M-Kingsville's Javelina Stadium. Webb, who started at left tackle, won the game's Jim Langer Award for offensive linemen. Sims finished with four tackles, two unassisted. A&M-Kingsville quarterback Billy Garza was the offensive MVP, going 15-of-27 for 146 yards and a touchdown. - Amarillo.com

01/08/10 - CACTUS BOWL: Webb, a 6-8, 325, native of Mesquite, Texas, was a first-team Daktronics, as well as a Don Hansen's Football Gazette first-team all-America selection. Extremely intelligent, with good athleticism for his size, Webb has been a focus of pro scouts and ranks as one of the top offensive lineman in the Division II ranks. Over 11 of 12 outings, Webb made his customary starts at left tackle (he did not start against Eastern New Mexico due to illness). Included among those starting assignments were his lining up against #-1 ranked Grand Valley State, #1-ranked Abilene Christian, #6-Central Washington, #7-Tarleton State and #10-Texas A&M-Kingsville. Against that caliber of competition, he allowed just one sack over his position for the entire season. - West Texas AM football

12/28/09 - 2009 AP LITTLE ALL-AMERICA THIRD TEAM: OL - J'Marcus Webb, senior, West Texas A&M, has been selected Third Team Little All-American (Division II, III & NAIA) for the 2009 college football season as voted on by the Associated Press. - AP Sports

Hey guys. J'Marcus Webb is 335lbs, 6'8 and no fat! He has no big belly like most of these left tackles have. He's quick as lightening and registered a 4.16 in the short shuttle. The short shuttle is the money drill. This is the drill that shows off your speed. He kicked major butt in the Cactus Bowl and trounced in the Texas Vs. Nation. Any of you watch it? He allowed no sacks at all. Webb has no off feild issues. Never has been arrested and is a very smart player. Had eligibility issues, but so has half the kids in the draft. Scored high on his SAT and can go toe to toe with the best of them. He has had numerous workouts and has rumoured to have blown folks away with his interviews, as well as, his incredible body. He isn't an underperformer, as mentioned in this blog. He's probably the best talented left tackle that is in the draft. He has ll the intangibles and he does EVERYTHING well. Do your homework fellas. The info is out there. Gotta search for it. Place him next to any kid in the draft and see how he measures. He's friggin hot! Fast! His arms are 36 inches long! Find me a better one! He's probably the only true LEFT tackle, along with Okung.

when a guy does not put it all out there when it counts most (when scouts are watching) then you cannot count on him to show up in big games.

thats the part that you really have to look at, see how the player performs in game when he is challenged etc in those games.

It's a good thing you guys aren't scouts. You guys really don't know what to look for. Webb doesn't have any "off field issues" and to say so spreading rumors. He's a phenom and he even outplayed all of the other tackles at Texas vs. Nation. Hope you guys saw that game.

Scouts didn't write a bad word about any players. Those were sports internet writers. They certainly aren't scouts. Call the teams up and find out what they know about these players you guys are criticiizing. Some writers are paid by agents to write certain stories. It's important to think outside of the box here.

I doubt Webb gets drafted. I know of his off field issues, and I am wary of that sort of thing. However, there is almost no financial risk involved with signing him as a UDFA. If he turns out to be a knucklehead, just escort him out of Valley Ranch and into a horse trailer, since he is too big for a cab.

If he has truly matured, and comes in with the correct attitude and mindset, the kid will be a complete steal. He has a buttload of athletic talent and ability. He was a top tier recruit coming out of HS. UT doesn't recruit crap players under Mack Brown, bad character yes, bad players no.

So as a UDFA, his reward/risk ratio is off the charts. Now, let's just hope no one wants him and we can get him signed immediately after Mr. Irrelevant gets his name called.

What's the off field issues? Grass? Grades? I haven't heard of any arrests or criminal charges. Go figure! Here's something new!

Richmond Webb Tackles J'Marcus Webb!
By Sportswriters 4 U

ain't slow! He moves like a tiger and he knows the position! He's got more going on than I've seen alot of
