I wouldn't bet on Dallas. The Cowboys always seem to stink it up in preseason, whether or not they actually have a good team or not

can't imagine how anyone could bet on a game where you don't even know who is and is not playing thought the game.
I guess, like ryno said...maybe out of total boredom.

SD does tend to play their starters more on opening week. Last year, they blew us out, for example.

Preseason home teams tend to win much more often, as the ownership wants the home fans to at least get something out of the rip-off. Home teams play the starters a bit more generally.

If anyone cares, last year in SD, the Chargers beat us in the opening preseason game 27-7.

Rivers et al played while Romo, Murray, Witten, and Dez did not.

I would take the Cowboys depth over the Chargers depth with everything else being equal.

However, with no Romo, Dez, Sean Lee, etc. the Chargers could jump out with a lead right off the bat.

I will say that if Dallas isn't behind by the start of the second quarter, I think they'll cover that +5 pretty easily.

It is preseason football though, so anything can happen. You can't rely on certain things like you can in a regular season game.

Dallas has about 4-5 roster spots available.

San Diego has about 14-15.

Depth.

The point of preseason is talent evaluation. Who makes the team. Sometimes you'll have guys who won't make the team playing against 2nd stringers. Also, everything is very, very vanilla.

Betting on preseason games is complete luck. You're just as well off betting on the coin toss.

You really underestimate gamblers. Especially for football. People gamble heavily on the pro bowl.

They'd gamble on the blue/white scrimmage if you let them.

Yeah. You're right. It's funny, but I guess it's entertainment

Stevie Wonder would have better odds playing in the casinos then someone bringing in cash from preseason games.
