can't imagine how anyone could bet on a game where you don't even know who is and is not playing thought the game.
I guess, like ryno said...maybe out of total boredom.

SD does tend to play their starters more on opening week. Last year, they blew us out, for example.

Deep roster had nothing to do with it though. Nor does who is the better team really ever factor in during the preseason.
The home team played their starters more, as usual.
I think Ben even took one snap for Pittsburgh,for example.

Depth does have a great role in it. Steelers are top heavy but no depth. So when its 2nd, 3rd and 4th string playing the better they are the more chance they have to win. Ben didn't play but neither did Peterson. .....they are starters

Yeah,but if they hardly played their first team--not just Ben--of course the remaining team will will be thin.

Winning the game is preseason is way down the list of importance.
Stay healthy
Look at the rooks
End of roster battles
Get the kinks out
Then maybe win the game

I mean, just to get their offense some reps, the Packers have already passed up two easy FGs today.
