I'm just sayin - the guy was just giving his opinion on your post and the article you posted, and then you go with the "I won't be posting anything else I read if that's how you're gonna respond."

Seems a little overdramatic, that's all. We're all just posting our thoughts. I didn't see anything in jobberone's response that required a "Taking my ball and going home" retort. JMO, of course. ;)

that was in response to crazycowboy calling it hype? Not jobberone.

If that is hype, then shoot me. I just posted a stinking article.

its not taking my ball and going home. Why are you even starting this crap? I simply said I just wont post anymore articles, there is no point, everythign here is negative.

No way do I want to spend what it would take to trade "way" up. Anything higher than mid-teens is way too rich for my blood. If Peterson falls to 16, that's one thing. But I don't want to be giving up all our first day picks on Saturday or anything higher than a fifth next year.

I guess "way" is relative. How do you define it, SP?

Oh, his name was gone, something wrong with the multi-quote I guess.

I agree with what has been said in the thread...we have 10 picks already and it would seem highly unlikely that we would look to add more.

Secondly, I really do not want Jerry dealing with AJ Smith. He is an astute GM and I don't want to get hosed in a deal.

Even if it's not Smith's thing to trade up, you gotta figure in the unusual circumstances.

They have one of the most talented teams in the league, the best record from the previous year, the GM just fired the head coach, and put Norv Turner in his place (that's right, Norv Turner!). The pressure's on the team, and especially Smith, to perform and make something happen. I wouldn't rule out him trading up just because he hasn't done it before. There's a first time for everything...

I agree, but I could see moving down to the first/early second and using some of those second day picks to move up with our 2's and 3's. That's where the value is in thi draft.

Post of the day.

I do agree we don't need additional picks, if we are going to use those picks to pick players at those spots. However, if the Boys do indeed trade down and recieve, say, a 3rd and a 5th this year, it doesn't neccessarily mean they have to stay at those spots and draft a player there. They can very well package some of those additional late draft picks and move up in rounds 3-5 to pick somebody they have thier eyes on.

I am only passing along an article i read in the san diego paper. Excuse me.

and by the way, if your going to respond like this, please explain to me how moving down from 22 to 30 and gaining another third in the process is losing out on the top 40 players. I cant wait to hear that. Cause um picking at 30, well your still in there...

.

I didn't try or mean to be offensive or abrasive. Those were actual questions and not condescending remarks. Please forgive for offending you. I don't have a problem with picking up an extra third for trading down a few. I just wouldn't trade down outside around 40. That's where I think the break occurs for the next tier of players. And I don't want another third except to trade back up. We have too many picks. We need people who will start even if next year. I don't know what being in there means.

Again I didn't mean to offend. I see how you could interpret my remarks that way. Sorry.
