Hall of Famer and former Dallas Cowboy Charles Haley told a Dallas crowd Monday, the Cowboys are "dumber than a box of rocks. They don't listen, and that's why we're losing," according to D Magazine.

Haley spoke at a charity breakfast for the nonprofit CARE anti-substance-abuse group one day after Dallas lost at New Orleans.

Haley said he had told the Cowboys behind closed doors, "You all elevate stupid to new levels and new heights," Haley said. When some of the players protested, he responded: "Oh, you want to fight me. But you don't fight on the field!"

The Hall of Famer Haley has made controversial comments in the past and often gives "tough love" in his comments. He also defended the Cowboys' signing Greg Hardy.

Jerry Jones referred to him as an "SOB" earlier this year. "Hey, I can say that because I love Charles. He's in the Hall of Fame and I love him," Jones said.

I sometimes wonder if today's generation is just incapable of accepting constructive criticism for exactly what it is and nothing more. So many feelings get hurt nowadays..

Haley did a full 1 evening radio show a couple of weeks ago. He basically said that all modern day young players are stupid. It was not really specific to the Cowboys.

Remember. He has been in our camp a lot this year working with Gregory and following that into the season so chances are good he has a finger on the pulse of that locker room.
