Haley is just frustrated, like a lot of fans are. I say things the day after a loss too that probably shouldn't be said in mixed company.

He's mad. I understand it. But you could find dumb mistakes for every team in the league.

Glad he said it though.

Charles will always give you the 100 whether you want to hear it or not. Gotta respect that.

I sometimes wonder if today's generation is just incapable of accepting constructive criticism for exactly what it is and nothing more. So many feelings get hurt nowadays..

So now, can somebody explain what was it that the cowboys players dont listen to ?

I mean i read that Haley says: "you dont listen" and "You all elevate stupid to new levels and new heights". But does he eventually has some meaningfull to say that helps ?

Where is the actual content in this article ?

I really think Randle's dive after being told not to by multiple coaches is just a small example of what may have prompted Haley to make those earlier "you all don't listen" comments. I'm sure there are more subtle examples that we just aren't aware of.

This kind of Haley psyche-technique worked for the Cowboys in the 1990's. Maybe it can light a fire under this group.

It won't. There's not enough talent on the field. We're playing with backups to backups. What do we really expect?

I doubt he's saying because they lost. He's pretty close to the team, he's way more purvey to what goes on than we are.

Yep & yep. I went all day at work without delving deep into my normal football convo. Sometimes it's best to just do that.

Haley was just showing frustration and I'm also glad he said it. All on the team may not heed his words but some will.

Remember. He has been in our camp a lot this year working with Gregory and following that into the season so chances are good he has a finger on the pulse of that locker room.

Yes, but it was obviously a general theme with him that young guys these days are dumb. He probably throws rocks at kids that walk on his lawn.

I've heard him say that he told Gregory how to rush the passer and Gregory and because Gregory didn't do it like Haley did in his day, that Gregory is dumb.

They interviewed Gregory in training camp and he said that it was sometimes hard to understand what Haley was talking about.

Listening to Haley on a radio show for a full hour a couple of weeks ago, I'll admit that I had no idea what he was talking about most of that time.

Sorry you'll have to corner Mr Haley for further detail. I doubt he tweets..lol

Didnt you recognize he actually tweeted it already why he thinks we lost ?

Do you really think he has alot more to say ? If yes why does he tweets such BS in public which is just the stereotypes all emotional people use ?

Haley was a great player but he is not known for his intellect. And that way he talks about our problems. It does not help a bit. All he does is letting of steam.

I love the answer he got from JJ. Its so much to the point. Doesnt he get it when he talks crap ? Even when somebody shows him what kind of crap he is talking ?

Good post!

But i have to admit: For someone like Haley who knows that he also represents the Cowboys as an organisation. It is not okay to talk with only emotions. He has to know that he has some responsibility towards the team and the players. So its not okay to throw everybody under the bus.

Id say he should get used to also use his brain a bit... just a bit.

Yeah. I hear you but bottom line he nailed it. The timing is impeccable. Perhaps he's smarter than you give him credit for... Perhaps he's lighting a fire for the NE game & beyond. Lord knows we're going to need all the fire we can muster this week.

Ha true, I just deleted a bunch of my response's on here last night - cause I was just being too pissy, after the game. Read them after I typed them out, thought better of it and deleted - lots !

I now have my own self imposed rule to refrain from making any threads after a loss until at least Monday afternoon. Works fairly well... (& keeps me away from that historic ban hammer) 7 years ago, different story.

That is exactly why I try to not come on here until at least the next day. That and after any loss, reading the comments here make me long for a hot bath and a cold razor.

He's right.

What wasn't dumb about Randle extending the ball with one hand over the goal line without looking? What wasn't dumb about Dunbar running it out from ten yards deep in the end zone to get to the ten yard line and suffer a possible end of the year injury? What wasn't dumb about having 12 men on the field when the team is going to punt it, giving them five extra yards to give them three points? What wasn't dumb about Street stepping out of bounds with no one near him?

What did he nail ?

That you have to fight, that you have to want to win, that mistakes are stupid when it cost you, that we could have played better or more intelligent ?

Those are just platitudes. Everybody can say such things. And they are always right. But it does not help because they dont show the real problem. And i do think Haley does not know the problem. If he did knew he would be coaching our team or he would (maybe) twitter it (and not the crap he actually did).

He is an emotional guys. I give him that. But not much more. Unless he shows me else.

Really i did not see any problem that our players had with there motivation or their will to fight. In fact i did see the oposite.

What i did see was a offense that was not able to establish a real threat in the running game and a passing game that was medicore.
And what i did see was a defense that got tired at the end of the third quater.

Both is explainable. Our offense lost three cornerstones (Murray, Romo, Bryant). They also lost Dunbar last night. Without our offense our defense was on the field alot.
Our defense lost alot of players and if you look at our roster (especially at DL) you will discover that right now we are much worse then last year (that was right after we lost Gregory).

We had to replace two good right DEs (Spencer and IKD the other name right now). Replacements are Hardy who is out and DLaw who is still a second year player and cant be compared to for example Spencer. We also lost Gregory. And we lost our three technique to FA. So what do people expect from our DL

LB wise we lost three good players to FA. We replaced one with a second year player and right now (after Lees inury) with a rookie (Wilson). Still our main contributer on defense last year (MCClain) was not eligible until yesterday.

So those are two positions (DL and LB) we are personally worse then last year. How do people expect us to be a better defenese ? Maybe on paper. Or maybe later in the year. But right now this is not a good defense and it cant be a good one right now. Just because it misses alot of players.

We also lost Lee yesterday. Wilson clearly was not ready. Did you see the miscommunications at the end of the fourth quater and in overtime ? The LBs had no clue at all.

its easy to say you are all stupid. Its another thing to actually talk about the real problems and help to avoid them or to support your team with knowledge.
But again its so easy to bash someone.
