I hear ya.

Tell Gargano that though. He's just upset because Dallas got yet another player in the HOF.

He was also upset still about Reggie White going in as a Packer instead of an Eagle, lol.

**** Philly.

Players don't go into the Hall Of Fame as a rep of one team - their busts have no references to what teams they were on. That reference is only for the Baseball HOF - showing the cap that the player is wearing - it can only be one team. They ultimately go in representing every team that they played on.

I know, but some people talk about how many steelers or how many Cowboys are in the Hall. He was talking about Cowboy fans he knows saying another Cowboy was going in.

He was just being... well... like he is from Philly.

This is what champions are made of. The best on EVERY play. Not just some plays. This is why I have loved Charles Haley ever since he put on a Cowboys helmet. And that is why I have loved him every day since, regardless of his head case problems and rumours. Didn't matter to me, I loved him then and I still do today, and I am so happy that the Hall of Fame committee finally decided to recognize him as one of the greats that he is. He was so humble in his speech and so very happy, and so damned deserving. He was very classy and real tonight. And I LOVED his S bomb! Keepin' it real for the real folks! I just saw a man up there, receiving a much deserved and overdue award. Awesome. Love me some Haley! And always will!

Really happy Haley was able to admit he needed help. Take a big man to do that....we are blessed to have him still with our organization in some capacity helping our younger players.

I thought I heard/read the niners hired him away........thought so anyway.

He and Debartolo have had a very close personal relationship, even when he was playing in Dallas and to this day. He's considered part of his family to some extent for whatever reason. Who knows.

Keep your friends close.......and your enemy's closer.

One of the reasons I was immediately pumped up for Charles being traded to the Cowboys was due to his fallout with the 49'ers.

Being a die hard Cowboys fan since the mid-late '70's (when I lived in Dallas), I despised the 49'ers with much fervor..............Almost as much as I dislike the Foreskins.

I honestly forget where I read about what really happened (the last straw) with Haley and 49'ers many years ago. I have tried to Google it to no avail. I'll try to keep my explanation "Family friendly".

What I read (~ 22 years ago) was Charles was displeased with something between him and George Siefert, so he took some papers/contracts, whipped his banana out and urinated on them in front of some of the 49'ers staff.

If any of ya'll remember the incident or where the story can be found and want to correct me.....go for it.
I dont mind being corrected for something (that could be BS) I read that long ago.

Im just glad he was a Dallas Cowboy at the right time.

Congratultions Charles. You were LOoooooooooooooooong overdue in the HOF.:yourock:

In reference to my statement about not being able to find the old story I read ~ 22 years ago, this is the closest thing that somewhat referred to Charles urinating on something:

http://espn.go.com/blog/san-francisco-49ers/post/_/id/12128/2015-hall-of-fame-finalist-charles-haley

'And after the Niners tired of Haley's antics, which reportedly included urinating on a teammate's car, exposing himself to a female reporter and cussing out coaches, and sent him to Dallas for mere second- and third-round draft picks in 1992, his arrival helped launch the Cowboys' dynastic defense.'

There is also storys of him masturbating in front of teammates (which Im not into hearing or seeing), but that is not the same as the urination incident I was referring to above.

Great speech. I think his being so matter-of-fact about his depression/bipolar was pretty gracious. It could very well save the life of someone who had resigned themselves to suffering in silence rather than seeming weak.

Adrian Peterson probably heard the bit about Charles' mother and was like, ahem.

And his Jerry Jones impression was hilarious.

It's funny how most of the promos and highlights they show of Charles was w us.

I'm glad he's in but I don't like how he wanted to go in a niner

Did he? Oh well, at least he acknowledges his Cowboys connection.

Haley won 3 Super Bowls with Dallas and 2 with San Francisco. I don't see how anyone can say he's not a Cowboy. If they want to call him a 49er too, fine. But he is definitely a Dallas Cowboy.

The best part about it all is the 49ers traded him

Also, I just watched the speech and didn't he just thank Cowboys teammates only?

Did you ever hear the story where Jimmy pulled him into the toilet area at halftime, flushed it and told him that's your career going down the toilet?

I don't think Jimmy would agree that Haley was going all out on all plays.

He didn't go in as a niner. They don't do that in the NFL.
