I don't really like the guy, honestly.

I can understand why some don't like him. I do like him though.

Yeah. I loved him playing for us. Not a fan of some of the stories (although they're amazing).

My opinion is also colored b/c I waited in line for a signing from the guy for my kids' hats at TC in Oxnard last year, and it wasn't really the best experience, unfortunately.

Me neither, I kind of was on the fence with Haley and what made me not like him was Haley getting into the ring of honor before Woodson. IMO that's a crime and a disrespect to one of the, if not the, greatest Cowboys' defenders of all time.

I know it's not Haley's fault that he is in the ring of honor but I can't get past it. One more reason I dislike Jerry Jones.

...but not a great Cowboy in my opinion.

Not the kind of guy I would draft.

That is about the dumbest reason for not liking someone. People forget how dominate he was esp. in the NFC title game and the Superbowl in 92. Woodson will eventually get in, until then build a bridge and get over it!

Woodson is not the greatest Cowboy defender of all time, good grief.

An older guy saying that the newest generation is dumber than theirs. I cannot believe it.

Haley won on strength quickness and a scary level of determination. He never struck me as cerebral in his approach to anything.

Guy was a 49'r ....... not a Cowboy.

And he was a perverted nut.

If that perverted nut never played for Dallas, you wouldn't be crowing about having an additional three Lombardi trophies.

I just watched "Jimmy Johnson: A Football Life". again

Really good.

Johnson said everyone was telling him to stay away from Haley, but that once he heard that he was really smart, he knew he could reason with him.

In one interview in the show, Johnson was on his boat fishing with his buddy Belichick and they were talking about how key it is to have bright players.
Jimmy said he recall telling someone after a couple of yars in "hit me in the head with hammer if I ever draft a dumb player again. When they do dumb stuff, you can't reason with them".

Haley very well may have been the player to put Dallas over the top.

Haley was a great player and if his back had not given out, he may have gotten quite a few more sacks. He is also bi-polar which is why he acts the way he does. When we lost Ken Norton and Haley's back went on him, I thought we lost the heart of the defense.
