Pete hunter comes to mind. Probably working drive through living with his parents back home. I hoped he would pan out a FS.

hasn't been mentioned but he is a free agent and the Raiders will not be able to keep him since they are plenty over the cap. How does the board feel about picking him up? Either by moving him to FS or moving Henry to FS and him at CB? I like Henry at CB but I think Charles Woodson would add size and speed to the field. I think our secondary is our weakness on D. I like him better than someone like Law who is older slower and would probably want more $. We need soem size and speed back there.

I really think our D Line is set for at least the next 4 years with Canty, Spears and Ferguson not to mention Ratliff, Pepper and hopefully Willie Blade who I like very much.

It will be easier to find a starting linebacker or hoping Burnett will make a full recovery, than holding out hope that a FS as good as Huff will fall to us or that Davis develops. Even if we were to draft someone of Huff's skills we would have to hope at pick 50some to pick up a stud OT or OG. Taking care of the secondary would allow us to take the best player on the board be it G,T, or if by miracle a stud MLB like Ahmad Brooks were to fall in our lap at 18.

Thoughts?

Our LB corp is the weakest unit on D!!!

I'd rather have Ed Reed as opposed to any MLb in the league being as we would be able to bring Roy up to the line much more often instead of playing Zone so much. Makes for more turnovers a great FS as opposed to a MLB. We play too much zone because we have essentially two SS's Roy having the better coverage skills at just above average. Really hurts our defense.

A great Secondary or a good LB corps? JMO

Your right, i'd take Ed Reed in a heartbeat too, but even with him back there we 'd still get the ball moved on us if our LB's dont make plays!!!

well the way I see it same defense plus Ed Reed and we are top 5 in D. I don't see a great MLB taking us from 10th in the league to a top 5. Our D line did a good job this year and James Ware and Fujita were good not great this year.

Ware and James were good this yr. Fujita misses too many tackles for me. Overall our LB corp is very average at best!!! As great as ER is, not sure if makes our "D" 5 notches better???

Completely agree.

With sustained drives, what happens?
Gives your offense less time to manufacture TD's and FGs. You can completely put teams away when your front 7 creates havoc on opposing running and passing attacks.

If we can get a really fast/big ILB like Ahmad Brooks in the draft and a big OLB that is strong and can get after the QB and a huge DT like Gabe Watson in the draft, then we are set for 7 years.

We could have several 1st day selection depending on trades like Ellis/Glover, and if we managed to get 2 and a 3 we could solve all of our needs in the draft easily.

This kids an absolute stud!!! Would love to get him at #18, providing he's still there. http://www.virginiasportstv.com/index.php?sid=6&v=332&f=.mov

I was talking about Charles Woodson.

Ya know, the Charles Woodson who "miss-tackled" Crayton and gave up a 40 yard TD.

FWIW, I have not heard glowing reviews of Brooks' committment/desire to the game from coaching circles here in VA. Heard he ballooned up to 265lbs+ this season and almost lost his starting job.

Not sure this is the kind of guy I want for Dallas. However, if Parcells thinks he can mold and tap that potential then bring him in.

I wouldn't be against it. But at the same time I'm not going to invest any interest in this because I highly doubt it happens. How many years in a row have the fans been pushing for this to happen?

On the other hand though.. if we made a high impact sign like TO, that immediatly shows many of the high profile free agents out there what we're thinking (win now!). Remember the bargains we'd used to get when we were heading towards the top? It's amazing how attractive that star becomes to other like stars once it starts glowing with win potential. Only other thing like it in all of competition is the Yankee Pin-stripes.

As a corner, no! He is all hype and hasn't done squat. To boot, he is hurt every year. Also he is not better that what we have currently. I would argue that Aaron Glenn is better...
