"Green notified the press he had a 'clean bill of health' in Monday's post-practice media conference, but injured himself walking off the podium. He's scheduled for an MRI Tuesday morning." ---- Ft. Werth Star Telegram, Nov. 7, 2016, 7:44 am (PST).

Bring back Leary, let Collins and Green battle it out at RT.

The hope would be that Collins wins and Green stays swing Tackle, since he hasn't shown an ability to stay healthy and take on a heavy load.

Tyron-Leary-Frederick-Martin-Collins

That could be amazing.

...amazing-er?

To his credit, when you get injured like he did last year and then you come back and you're conditioning isn't quite there because of the injury...you're likely to get another injury.

Dont want him starting until he cant prove to stay healthy. He had injury concerns all through college and now the pros. Our identity goes through our o-line. This is definately the 1 unit we dont want to be affected by injuries.

I see that he was inactive today. He seems to be a solid player that could eventually nail down a starting tackle position for us. But he has been been "out" due to injury, a LOT.

Does anyone know the details on today? What are the chances we can count on him on a regular basis?

Would you count on him as a starter, or do we need to crank up the hunt for an OT as Doug Free starts to tail off even more as time goes on?

What are the chances that we will have both Free and Green on the team next year? Will we look to bolster the weakest link on the OL?

Injuries happen, he is in his 2nd season and has shown very good talent. I seem to remember people giving up on Sean Lee as well because of things outside of his control.

We need to draft a tackle..

I like Green but this guy is not reliable at all.

He's just one of those guys.

I just posted he's back.....

Yeah... Doesn't matter.

I like the player but if we go in with him as our starting Right Tackle next year then we might as well pencil in our backup as the true starter because Chaz Green is an injury prone player.

Free will cost 7.5 mil against the CAP In 2017 without re-structure.
2.5 million if cut outright.

So maybe restructure - same total dollars.
Extend to another year into 2018.

Good back up for two more years.

Where does one find how many plays Chaz has left till another injury, the internet? Clearly he has talent to work with for the coaches. He started with a bad hip so I am sure this will slowly resolve itself, I am not concerned unless it lingers into next year. He was a badass in college with an attitude like Leary if some of you have forgotten.
